I'm told (having had it done under warranty) The the new part fitted is a revised unit and the problem won't happen again. If I get the light it'll probably be some cables requiring tightening due to stretch. So watch this space will have to see what happens. I am like yourself though very much inclined to remove the valve if it keeps happening. Trouble is with my bike being a v-low mileage, v-clean Masterbike I'm a bit loath to start chopping it about.

    Time will tell I guess.

took my bike in today to the dealers. triumph insist the cables are changed 1st as my bike is fitted with the new valve and they wont send out a replacement as to many dealers are changing valves when the fault is cables.the dealer had allready tried to point out they had regreased the seized valve saturday to no avail.as this is only the 2nd new valve my dealers have had go i take it there clamping down every where.thanks triumph for screwing my weekend up

  8. Same here - Warranty fix on cables - then if problem persists I again have to come back for a new valve.. What pain in the Ar5e!!!

I can't believe dealers are so stupid they change cables without checking the valve is free to move. How stupid or what. With the cables off the valve should move freely just with resistance from the spring and they should snap open when released.
Join the club guys and get rid of the dam valve. Having said that I've not had a problem with mine but it's stil gone.
