Where did you get to on your bike today? :)

Discussion in 'General' started by MBOARD94, Aug 3, 2014.

  1. Well had my missus clothes as well as mine and a tent sleeping bags, sleeping mattress, cooking equipment and camera gear. Admittedly we took a few things we didn't need but on a few. Was epic trip. If it was just me and the lads I would take the D675 and nowhere near as much gear.

Ahh! right, I was a bit confused thinking extra luggage for 2 people but no pillion seat available.
Hope you both enjoyed the riding. :)

  3. Aaaahhhhh yes fair point. My missus was with but she was on the little Monster which is in one of the photos with the Walt Disney castle behind. She only passed in December so didn't want her carrying too much and luggage capacity isn't great on her's.
Both loved the riding. Roads were sublime.

Did a trackday at Mallory, wanted to test out the recent tweaks, had an enjoyable day, setup is moving in the right direction.

Also spotted one young Mr Luke Stapelford signing on in the morning, sound lad, even made a b line later in the day and checked out my bike, made my day! told him I think his is cooler and quicker lol, sadly he wasn't riding his so couldn't perv or take any pics, instead was riding/testing out the smiths S1000rr BMW

Went out for 110mile blast with an old mate. Had a good catch up and both had a fabulous ride. Went to the Departure Lounge and had a nice cold drink in the shade as it has been boiling all day

85 mile round trip with the IAM guys. Rode with @moto450cc and watched him receive his IAM certificate.

We headed towards an American styled Diner called Nelson's Diner. Food was very good, route there was brilliant company was amazing. All in all a great day out

  10. Cov - Melton Mowbray - Market Harborough - Cov. Used the 'Thrill ride' option on a Tomtom. Quite impressed with the roads it took us down.

Just back from a trip ,Forfar to Oban and back on the ZZR1400, the roads were superb, pity they weren't as good on the east coast.

28 degrees through The Sma' Glen coming home and it was never lower than 24 all day, thankfully I didn't have leathers on today

Just back from 3hrs tearing up the Tarmac/dancing the front end around in the beacons. Sitting in my World Endurance plunge pool (kids paddling pool️) with a nice can of Stella - yes it was hot out there but not going to have many nights like this are we?!

  15. Haha no... apparently we came too soon though, the Muff festival starts in just over a weeks time...

  16. Oh, I am so disappointed in you lot. 24hrs and not a single coming too early in Muff joke. Shame on you...

  17. IAM certificate all framed! Just waiting for the photo taken with a calculator to appear in slipstream next month.:D First green team ride out was good. Rossgo, you don't hang about, tried to keep up at one point going through Aldermaston, but you were off! Was stuck behind one of the, er, less progressive riders though!

Great @moto450cc be very proud of it. It takes some doing to get it, I know I'm certainly proud of mine!! Plenty more green team runs mate. It was my first one as well it was great, good pace, good route (even with the detour down the wrong road!) I'd like to see what a A Run is like to be honest. You coming to our groups T Run on Sunday be nice to see you again? I really enjoy following you the sound of your arrow is so nice especially when you are kicking up through the gears I find you are very good at finding the overtakes, I feel sometimes I struggle.

  19. Yeah, I'm curious to see what an A run would be like, but I don't wanna run before I can walk. Ain't nothing wrong with the overtakes I saw you do, fella, like I said, struggled to keep up with you at some points.
    Won't be there for T run. :((

I'm the same, I have a feeling these guys are going to be quick!! I followed Andy (the main guy on the R1) last year at one of their meets, wow he knows how to use his bike very competent! Oh no why can't you make it mate? I think there's a GNATS one soon too, going to look that one up I think and try heading to it is well
