Took a leisurely bimble down thro new forest to sammy millers again where there was a classic review and auto jumble. It had just finished when we arrived. Took some pics of nortons triumphs then had coffee. Took a leisurely bimble back.
Having a quick coffee at Abergavenny with @hughmaximus - doing the borders/mid wales back roads and having a blast.
Nah - they're welsh for "bike parcio" at Aberavenny bus station cafe's cul-de-sac... ️ Please don't make me ride a ducati as punishment...
I'm hot as in a hall in Coventry! Gold/bronze today!!Can't wait to ride home to cool off. Btw have you fallen out with Hugh? Or do you both just value your personal space???
Still on our way back from the fest... 12 miles of graded forest road through kielder, then dales, then peaks, ended day with snake pass, now cold beer and curry in bakewell. .
a bunch of us headed down towards boxhill yesterday evening as the majority of us had never been there. Obviously to late to pop into rykas cafe but after taking in the beautiful sights we nipped just down the road to find a pub but ended up sitting out the front of a Italian restaurant which was a great laugh with some very humorous Italian waiters and great food. We then all made our way back towards Heathrow and as it was late a few of the lads departed but the rest of us went for a blast around ascot and Windsor was great.
Not today, was a week or so ago. Grossglockner I think and some others. And do you think this will add to the mpg? And a sick R100 I saw in Luxemburg
130 miles with my dad. Had a Fab ride haven't been out with him for ages! At first it was miserable then after around 20 miles or so it started to brighten up, so traded bikes with dad...didn't see my bike again until motorway (at the end of the ride haha!) We headed towards a little village in Wiltshire near swindon, it was lovely then headed to Marlborough for a hot drink and cake then went home!
Been really busy this weekend! Literally just managed to get out for 30 mins to catch a view and get out the house!
It's actually my dads but he is 70 but he literally does 100 miles a year on it and won't sell it, likes me riding it, I took it to Scotland a few years back and really like just going to a cruise around on it. I just fitted the tail tidy and need to change the front indicators and wing mirrors soon as my dad wants more of a cafe racer look, and one of his mirrors is broke because he dropped it
Thats awesome. It looks really tidy and great fun, nice being on a bike like that where you can sit up and enjoy the scenery. How was the trip to scotland on it?
I'll be honest! It is hard work on the motorway! Was fine on the way up with a tail wind and my mates with me, could cruise at 90mph but no quicker really. Its only got 5 gears which is a bit frustrating. Otherwise it's much more capable than it looks, which makes even more spirited jaunts good fun, but if you were to ride one every day it would get frustrating as she is a heavy beast! We have shaved quite a bit of weight off it, probably 10kg and it's still pretty lardy!
Top man - even if he only did 10 miles a year, don't let him sell that bike. Better for the crumblies to have something to look at/play IMO with than a few extra 0's in the bank (unless he really needs them for good/warmth of course).
Haha it's apparently coming to me when he definitely doesn't want it anymore! Hence why I pay for services and it's first MOT and try to look after it a bit.
nice trip but why so much luggage? Even with going round the world while camping I would hope not to take so much.
