Electrician for 10 years, then did tree climbing and tree rigging for 5 years, and been electrician installation manager again for the last 5 years, hate my job but it pays the bills.
I've not been about much but as I'm under threat of redundancy as an IT Systems Manager I'm taking things easy and catching up on here. Seems to be a few RAF'ers on here. I did 12 years as a stacker. Currently looking for a new job and 'doing' my company for unfair dismissal so any advice greatly received from ~Ed~
I got into the weighing industry after leaving school simply because it was the closest job to my home. I started with a small family firm servicing and repairing all tpyes of weighing machines in use in Industrial and Retail companies across the south west of England. I then joined a British weighing machine manufacture who was at the time owned by GEC but is now US owned and had a career with them working in service, sales, product development, marketing and business development over the years. I left the company in the June last year and now continue to work in the same industry as a partner in a small south west based company. Back to my roots! Whether your weighing a parcel or helicopter, dead livestock and humans, monitoring fuel usage in F1 cars etc been there and got the T shirt.

Dare I say it but I am a Bank Manager - mostly working for the government now! Been there 36 yrs on and off. My how I have lived life on the edge! I notice that Fishcake is in Sheffield. Whereabouts mate?
Ha guy's I'm a Sheffield lad, just over the boarder now, still the people are as friendly here as back home and Sheff is still on my list of nights out. We'll have to meet at Owler Bar one day for a ride out.
Yes that would be great. Still some great rides here though the policing is getting a might intrusive. I lam about a mile and a half from Owler Bar.
S17 - Totley. I am up for that. Might be a few weeks yet looking at the weather forecast though. My favourite is the A515 round trip via Ashbourne and back through Matllock Bath. Have to choose your time though. Where do you sit BDBL?
