I'm about to fit a Skidmarx rear hugger. On the right hand side of the swingarm, there are two p-clips holding the rear brake-line. When the hugger is attached to the swingarm, is there a bracket that holds the hugger to the two vacated holes where the p-clips were originally? Or is it considered enough that the p-clips are now attached to the hugger instead? If Skidmarx did not intend there to be a bracket with the hugger, I might make up a bracket!
I'm pretty sure mine has a bracket, & pretty sure it's a skidmarx hugger. But i'd have to double check. Let me know if you need photos.
Got 1 for xmas and looks nice on the bike. If you use the bolts that came with the hugger (5 in total) then they are long enough to go into the hugger and fix into the bracket on your swing arm. Hope this helps.
Mine fits nice mate. Had no problems or issues with it. Wanted something bigger than the original triumph one to help keep the crud off.
Mine was purchased via jack lilley triumph and came with fitting instructions bolts and washers. Will have a look to see if i still have instructions as i may have what the bolts are called.
Sorry Curtis668 gave you some incorrect info . Just found paperwork i got with my skidmarx rear hugger and i did get a bracket with it. Contents 2x m5 x 12mm hex head screws 2x m5 steel washers 5x m5 x 16mm socket flange screws 5x m5 nylon washers small 1x bracket Sorry again for that.
Thats what I'm looking for, OEM ones are a bit pump aren't they?! Yours looks the mutts nuts! Though I am a self-confessed CF whore!
Cheers TonaInCov, Have a look at jack lilley's website they have the same hugger in carbon fibre. Or try the link mate. http://www.jacklilley.com/view_part.asp ... rt_id=4815
I've contacted Total Triumph, on the other side of Taunton, who supplied the hugger. They will be contacting Skidmarx shortly. If there wasn't a fitting kit then I would have made a bracket, but knowing that it should have been supplied, I'll happily wait for the kit before fitment!
