This is the best I can do. Its from my old Daytona 600. The oilers tip sat 3mm above the chain about 2.5cm in front of the rear sprokett.
I have just had an e-system fitted and all the instructions for the positioning of the feed tip is on the rear sprocket about 5mm above the chain run and as this is an electronically adjustable drip I do not have a problem with excess spray unlike with standard lube,mine is set at a drip every 70 seconds.
Stu, there isn't any great place to fit the reservoir. Mine's on the trellis part of the frame and it's not ideal. It takes a bit of practice to get the flow rate right, but once you have then the fling should stop. My bike has oil over the back - a lot more than in C-J's pic - but it's historic.
