Discussion in 'Maintenance & Tweaks' started by Edski675, Jan 24, 2010.

  1. can someone post some puics of where they have there oiler (chain end) fitted please?

  2. This is the best I can do. Its from my old Daytona 600.

The oilers tip sat 3mm above the chain about 2.5cm in front of the rear sprokett.

  3. do you have it dropping onto the chain underneath the swinging arm?

  4. I have just had an e-system fitted and all the instructions for the positioning of the feed tip is on the rear sprocket about 5mm above the chain run and as this is an electronically adjustable drip I do not have a problem with excess spray unlike with standard lube, mine is set at a drip every 70 seconds.

  5. Yep thats the one.

Stu, there isn't any great place to fit the reservoir. Mine's on the trellis part of the frame and it's not ideal. It takes a bit of practice to get the flow rate right, but once you have then the fling should stop. My bike has oil over the back - a lot more than in C-J's pic - but it's historic.

Hope this helps Stu? I seem to have found a good flow rate now. Rode another 100 miles at the weekend and had almost no fling whatsoever. Happy again now ;)
