Good Luck Folks! I would have loved to have done this one for so many reasons but can't, but have cashed up anyway! See you all on the news! Dave G.
Its going to be massive, just seen a string of email on the RAT Forum, looks like a lot of guys and girls are signing up from Bulldog Triumph as well...
Signed up today after getting my new reg no on friday...i don't know how they are going to organise 9000+ bikes
Somehow I don't think that they really thought that they would get this kind of support, not in these numbers..
9300+ now ..i can't see them letting that many bikes into RAF Lyneham. What a logistical & security nightmare !!
Just seen an email from the Rat Forum (Bulldog Triumph) seems that the interest here is now gathering pace and they are looking to meet at the shop at 8.30... I am sure that this will take the A4 route rather than motorways which sounds like a plan to me... The A4 to Chippenham is a nice run
10,000+ have now signed up and the organisers have suspended registrations for the time being due to being overwhelmed according to facebook!!
yep, registrations have closed a week early, don't see how they can possibly stop anybody going on the ride though.... sure they can restrict who gets onto the airbase but not the public roads through Wootton. should be an impressive sight..... roll on spring
I have heard that none of the ride will take place on a motorway so a meet will have to take place somewhere else
I have not been on here for a few days but I am not surprised at the numbers that have registered on the Afghan heroes site, I reckon if they had kept the registration open then there would have been a lot more people registering, I think we should deffo try and get as many members as possible to meet up. I will be coming down from Lincoln, not sure of my exact rout yet.
Apparently the bikes won't be going in to RAF Lyneham they have said they can't cope with the numbers, Wootton Bassett are looking forward to it There is to be an update on what is happening coming later.
