    Thanks bigmac

All the lights etc. Are coming on, etc. It simply clicks nothing more

What should the voltage say and what would be the voltage if it was the power/ battery issue.

I can get a volt meter

I put it on my charger and tried to start it from that as I'd have thought it would then provide enough power to start the energy. I might be totally wrong and it doesn't work that way. Could I use a car to jump start it from? In order to fault find and answer the battery question? 20190419_121411.jpeg

You can (I have used my car to jumpstart my 13 Daytona.)!
Just stick with the safe way to jump anything with electronics.

Well it seems from what a couple have said it may not be RR issue. Though it has been on trickle charge. Though a few times previous the battery had gone to flat. I really wish I hadn't put an alarm on it.

I might bite the bullet and buy a new battery from halfords today as that's within my abilities to change and if it works great if not I'd probably need a new one anyway

yep bought new battery charged up this afternoon started first time.

Does that mean the other battery is totally kaputt I charged it all night. It was brand new too.

Anyways as ever thanks for the pointers

Of course nothing goes smoothly the bloody bolt for the battery fell into the depths of the Daytona. 20190419_192520.jpeg

  7. You might be able to recover the battery but they don't tend to like being trickle charged, they need to be discharge and recharged, a decent tender does but a battery through different cycles, worth spending a bit more on a decent tender.

Glad you got it sorted though, magnet on a stick to get the bolt out one of the best things I've bought from a £1 shop!

I got a different battery charger.

Anyways new battery works fine. Im still baffled why the other one that seemed fully charged didn't have enough juice to start the engine but lights etc. Worked fine.

  9. Could be a defunct battery, they sometimes go down under load, so show normal voltage with little to no load on them, as soon as you fire it it breaks down.

Might be an issue with battery.

I've been charging it this afternoon and it's weirdly lost charge. It is also boiling kettle temperature hot, I can't touch it. Ive taken it off charge.

Sounds like there may be insufficient acid in the battery.?
Once they have got that hot, they are probably stuffed because the lead plates will distort.
