R devil, you must be feeling better :D

I envy those tyres, I really do. Even when summer comes, I'll never get my tyres like those!!!!! 29C... as I type this it's -10C, just fetched daughter from a friend's house that's only a few mins up the road but in this cold it's too far to walk as teenage girls don't dress to keep out the cold - a mini skirt and no tights!!!!!! - my Volvo was saying -12C but I think it's a few degrees out.

Fest in Oz next year

  8. Sorry - been away....

I'm in Limpopo Province in DDA (aka South Africa)

  9. Your challenge is accepted looking at that tyre - there's an inch on the side where you're not using the throttle but leaning over ;-)
Suspension looks well setup though :)

Hmmm, sorry tubthumped but the only time i am on a closed throttle is during braking. As soon as i turn i am already opening the throttle for linear drive. That inch you are looking at is solely there because that tire has only been used while the bike has been used as a work vehicle. The other day is the first time its been taken to the twisties. Hence what was an inch strip is no longer. But still looks fairly fresh compared to the rest. Oh and yeah the setup is excellent ;)

  11. I'll take your word for it - but the tyre you've posted says different ;-) lol

Sounds to me like you're one of those 'experts' who flap their gums a lot. But I always seem to wave at when I go past at the track. And yeah I have no reason to lie about tire use. They where replaced after an off at the track 2 months ago. Next time I'll post pics of track used tires and ask for your uber awesome opinion.

bloody oath tubthumped slow riders shit me off, the track days here get way too packed out to the point of going past 5 or 6 riders at a time and most the time you have to (read for safety) go up the inside of them because they are wobbling around tipping into corners 3 or 4 times to get the job done. and yeah i fire up easy thats just me though.

  17. R devil m8 , i take it they don't run your track days in sessions, one for begginers then intermediate then the experts it sounds like it is a bit of a shit storm....

  18. Makes for a lively forum that way. ;-)
I think trackdays everywhere are the same. Thankfully the race test days are pretty good and not too packed. I've found on trackdays the stigma of the novice group usually means they're empty and the intere/fast are packed to capacity + a bit more. Do they run sessions at yours or is it open?

yeah sessions, slow inter fast, just too many people rock up. last track day i wanted to sort my suspension so opted for slow group as hardly anyone was in it = more track space for me, but after first session was forced to go into fast group (where i normally am) which was packed full, but still had wobbly blokes who really should have been in the slow group, this is because these wobblies think that because they are on a fast bike that they need be in the fast group. its embarrassing (for them) when along a fast back straight with a kink i am going past 4 or 5 blokes on cbr1000rr and R1's.

  20. the r1 riders are absolute fannies, all the gear and no idea ,i must admit the fast groups in scotland are just for the fast guys knockhill are quite strict and if someone has been booked on and they are just shit they get bumped off its just to dangerous and people have been run off track in front of me by the ofore mentioned r1 riders......
