  2. So out for another ride today 660kms in 5 days all going well.
    The good:
    * the looks I get :)
    * the sound is unreal :-D
    * stupidly quick
    * very light & easy to flick through the twistes, leaving the R1 for dead!
    * those tyres grip well ( although had it hanging out sideways in the wet last night!)
    * the brakes... Fantastic! Very powerful
*quick shifter is great thou need to be 4k+ to be certain it'll go
*shifts back into 1st gear even at speed :)
*looks fantastic & pleasantly surprised on seating position
    * Did I mention the sound!!!!!

    The bad....
*My Tpms doesn't work (will fix at first service)
*no room under rear seat to put anything other then wallet
    *random whistling noise... Intake???
    * front wheel doesn't want to stay down... Rear shock might need an adjust
    * service spanner on display is already on?
    * temp gauge sits rather high but not much heat coming off bike
    * fuel consumption on display 4.5lt/100km, actual around 7lt/100km
    * the stand is shit & very difficult to get down in racing boots, needs an extra knob further up for heel to go on
    * service manual says headlight globes are H4 yet they are H7... Go figure, already ordered brighter globes as standard are very average. Narva +100%
    * buttons on display don't work real well through gloves ( Astars gp pro)
    * the seat, It doesn't stop me sliding forward, definitely need to get some tank grips, rather average design
    * no pillion grips, I know it's not often but I do take the missus out for dinner etc every now & then. The quick shifter was good cause she wouldn't bob back n forth on up shift but on braking or getting of the throttle she would pretty much end up behind me on the seat!
    * once again the lap timer button should be the pass & not the ignition button, what a dumb spot for it!
    * the roads are damp in spots & still running it in :-(

Ignore if this if its a silly comment but the TPMS is an option so I assume you have go it fitted? If so the dealer shouldn't have let it out the door like that.
My 'service spanner' indicator came on about 10 miles before the 500mile mark for the 1st service.

  5. Yeah dealer stuffed up, has to go for first service so can be fixed then.

This weeks MCN makes good reading if you own the new 675R blows all the other 600cc bikes away, its a road and track test its 6 seconds a lap quicker than the cbr.

The best bit is at the bottom page 12. Go buy the mcn and weep if you own any other 600 and some of the big 1000cc bikes read the bottom bit of page 12 and you will see what I mean.

  7. I'm far too tight, take a pic and post it up ;)

Damn. I'd love to read this. Unfortunately MCN doesn't offer PDF downloads of their magazines. :( Any chance on some scans ? *puppy eyes*

Btw, I test rode the new 675R this morning and I'm still in a complete tizzy. Review coming soon.

  14. Who feels like sending a copy to Australia for me? I'd like a copy
I reckon I should buy a few copies of someone?

So I've run up 1100kms on mine now, sent it in & had suspension setup.

I'm constantly sliding way to far forward on seat, balls meet tank :-(
    That seat needs a redesign!

Rode in heavy traffic last night, it's definetly not a commuter! & thankful it won't be

I have had the gel seat fitted to mine from new and I haven't slipped on the seat at all.

Agree its not a commute bike if doing lots of traffic/towns but would put a smile on your face each morning if it was a A road/B road commute.

  16. People and journalists can say what they like all it is at the end of the day is a matter of opinion if you want a real test against the litre bikes stick a supersport Daytona 675R (2013) in a BSB race then see how it fares against the litre bikes it wouldn't have a prayer at a place like Snett might hold it's own at Brands Indy but on any track where there is a longer lap it will get reeled in very quickly by the bigger bikes. I don't despute it probably does piss over every 600 in its class however bear in mind the 675R is the top end model all of the other 600 manufacturers with the exception of Kawasaki don't bother pre-tuning their bikes in terms of improved suspension, brakes etc they leave that to buyer like Ford do with their Mustangs.

I get that you love your 2013 models guys but I'm growing tired of everybody trying to ram it down my throat enjoy your bikes but they won't beat my R1 in a month of sundays regardless of what some pleb writes in a magazine.

  17. Ah quit being such a damn sourpuss, let them enjoy their bike ffs  You don't HAVE to comment in every 2013 model thread as you do, constantly trying to bring people and their bikes down a peg or 2 because you don't like it, your bike is SOOO much better looking, handling etc etc. Why do you even bother with the threads if you know it will piss you off so much, it's just daft and both you and the 2013 model owners would feel better if you stopped. We get that you don't like it, you above anyone else here has gone to length telling us so every chance you get. It's getting kinda old tbh, you won't see me trying to piss on the previous model because we are all here because we like the Daytona, whatever model year it is. It's not us vs us, it's us vs them for fucksakes...

  18. Who said I was stopping them enjoying their bike? Get a clue man ffs! I get that you lot love your bikes and you get that I don't like them opinions are like aresholes everybody is got one and I can express it whenever I see fit last time I checked I lived in a democracy and I don't answer to anybody especially the likes of you and if you don't like what I write then don't fucking read it bellend!
