Wouldnt say old one is cramped just looks small and narrow in my mirrors the old one looks like a 125 a mate rode my 13 and when i wss on his bike didnt look narrow and looked like a normal sportsbike.

  2. lol

Someone said that about mine when I turned up at a ride out. "Hey, the 125 lads have turned up"

  3. it deffo doesn't sound like a 125 though does it!

  5. Really...? This might be my first daytona but i know a few with them & the new one makes the old look like something from the 60's
Move with the times, new one looks the goods :)

And that new exhaust sounds fantastic

  6. You wouldn't have the 2013 model if it wasn't for the older better model and I do move with the times but I know what I like and what I don't and quite frankily I think the 2013 model looks like a sack of shit and I am thoroughly disappointed in what Triumph have produced and feel even more disgusted that they put the word Daytona on it. However to you it might be the best thing since sliced bread so you enjoy yours and I'll enjoy mine knowing that I made the right choice buying quite frankly the best looking and best performing bike ever produced.

I'll break it down on a looks scale for you -

Old Daytona is as gorgeous as the Ferrari F40.

New Daytona looks like the car that the guy drives in the series Dark Angel.

  7. Opinions does not equal facts.

  9. Hi, let me introduce myself I am God...my word is gospel thanks.

  10. I like them both as well, but I still prefer the looks of the 2012 675R compared to the new 2013 675R.

Its just a matter of personal preference.

I would still own a 2013 675R though and I'm sure thats what will happen at some point.

But I will just keep enjoying my old school 675R for the time being, even if (like me) it looks like it came from the 1960's.... bloody good decade that was :D

  11. lol... if a 125 sounded like my DB Killer removed Arrow exhaust upto 13000 rpm then I would buy one. cheaper on fuel to listen to the symphony of sound :D

  12. I love both of them, i just happen to love the new one a bit more. But i would have gotten a 2013 even without the updates tbh.

  13. I'm just messing with you mate at the end of the day if your bike makes you happy who gives a shit what anybody else thinks? My R1 I've been told looks like an Alien with Down Syndrome but I don't care I love it to bits and I really enjoy riding it and at the end of the day if it makes me happy then that is what counts. If you enjoy yours then good luck to you mate. :)

You say best performing bike ever produced?? it might of been in its day but move over and make way for a more up todate and better performing bike which is the 13 675R, you can have the looks thing but you are way off with performance the two bikes are completely different in performance.

  15. Up until very recently my 2011 model was running a map straight from a TTC bike with an Arrow Stage 3 Titanium exhaust system the suspension was dialled in perfectly along with arrow rearsets and quickshifter ask Eagle Racing Steve on here he rode he will testify as to what an amazing performing bike it is the only difference is the ohlins suspension which, as with everything else is made to license in china so in essence is it really any better? Couldn't really say personally I don't have the talent. But what my Daytona lacks my R1 more than makes up for and even the 2013 model will never top that on performance.

  16. Makes no difference on the road  .... whoevers first through the speed camera loses anyway :D

All comes down to the rider everywhere else :cens: .... and posing in the car park before the ride out :D

  17. My 125 does 22mpg.... :-( but I also think it sounds great just cause its a 2-stroke.

Just want to say for the record that I like the new bike, just as much as the old bike but in different ways. The older bike in my eyes is 'something for the weekend Sir, ooh, suits you' and the new one looks more 'designed' slightly more japanese looking, but also no bad thing, the ZX6R and CBR are great looking bikes.

  18. Just had my first look at the 2013 model in Philip Youles Blackburn and its safe to say i won't be swapping mine for one. The front end just doesn't look as sharp or sporty as the old model :( , with a big bulbous nose mainly down to the change from projector headlights, the exhaust just looks like the one off my old hornet and the subframe looks awful, they managed to make a cast ally part look like a cheap piece of plastic. I'm sure its nice to ride and at least you don't have to look at it while you're riding
I don't like the look of any of the current 600's so when the time comes to move on it'll probably be an RSV4 or S100RR :D

  19. as a race bike looks better but road bike old bikes better
