Yes and no. It is like a very peaky 2stroke round town but on the open road its fine but who wants to ride in town? Nah get on the open road and give it a handful it likes be ridden hard and I don't refuse it,handling is superb the Daytona is good but this thing is sublime the brakes are good and even ridden hard I am getting 40+mpg.the only downside is every time I park up I get all the experts telling me what is wrong with it that they have read this or that and that traction control on a 600 is a waste of time we'll as you can see from the picture was up on the moors and at one point hit a bit of early morning ice on a bend whoa I am coming off but no the traction. Control kicked in so no its not a waste on anybike if it does what it's been designed For. Wish I lived in Kent you lucky devils! Stayed at the premier inn the week before last on maidstone road,Ashford. The next morning through the chunnel and a weeks blasting round belgium.might go next week to assen. But it's that 284mile to Kent puts me off. Paul.
Nice one Paul that sounds like an epic machine you have there mate I did have one booked for a test ride in Feb but the MV dealer wouldn't let it out as the roads were wet so I was a bit miffed as I was really looking forward to trying it out still I have a free saturday weekend after forum track day might take a blat round the M25 and see if they will let me try again sounds like it is well worth the ride. To be fair I don't think TC is a waste of time you've already showed how worth while it is having and I wish my R1 had it but I do have Mode B for poor weather which really dulls down the power output and throttle response so I have a middle ground so to speak. How comfy was it after a long ride?
How comfy..... well the ironic thing was i was nervous of taking a new bike to Belgium so took the Daytona no problems till I came out of the tunnel the engine management. Light came on and stayed on till Brussels got up next morning its gone off again over the next 2 days looked for a triumph dealer? Tip of the day belgium is closed on a Monday everywhere I went bakers, petrol stations. Museums, shops etc but found two mv agusta dealers and both open sods law, came back in one go 526mile my old body took 2days to recover the most I have done on the f3 in one day is 235ml yesterday not to bad didn't suffer the aching wrists I got from the Daytona but was an easy fix just changed my riding position time will tell with the f3. But think I made a good decision when I find out jack valentine has got f3s lined up for. NW200 and the IOM TT as jacks reserurrected Valmoto and he's local to me so watching him on twitter for tips
That's gonna be epic man Big Jack is back! Really interesting to hear the input about the F3 though dude nice to hear an honest opinion on one and it sounds like it is a dream to ride and to own.
well on Saturday i was out in good company, two s1000rr, street triple R 2013, ducati 999r, speed triple2013, fireblade 2013, Suzuki tl 1000 2000, there was only 3 bikes that got away that being the 3 1000cc sports bikes but come up to any corner i closed the gap not that i am faster in the twistys just they have more power to stop and a lot heavier machine to stop. All the other bikes listed i pulled away very easy from them. Last 12 miles from home bmws1000rr in front blasted it from a r,about i new he would so was right on him i overtook at 130mph (private road) after this bit of straight is some nice sweepers that i have ridden for the last 30 years i never see a headlight behind me again until i stopped 12 miles later. I have heard it all before about 600cc this and that they can keep up with 1000cc bikes its rubbish they cant but on Saturday i new what was going to happen and he shut off i am sure so i went past, the rider on the s1000rr did txt me later on and said i never see you coming and i nearly shit myself cause all i heard was the arrows on full chat when you where beside me. If we are talking ugly lol lol lol for me the mv augusta is right up there but we cant all like the same bikes or it would be a very boring world.
