  3. Con: the chain guard is too short & all the shit off the chains flicks over back of bike...

1600kms down, many more to go

Can't wait to get it on the track!
Had it in 6th up around 12g today :)
    Very stable

 Why not have a word with our resident Carbon Fibre guru, Dodge. He may even appreciate being ahead of the competition if you give him a heads-up about this apparent issue.

Extended carbon chain guard ordered, also have noticed the fuel gauge is way out in the handbook it says when light comes on you have used 13.5 litres its nearer 10.5/11 litres, bike seems economical done 70 ish miles spirited topped the bike up and when opened the fuel cap could see the fuel and only took £7.50

  8. Where can I get one of these chain guards?

  9. Upto almost 1800 now, tried out the ABS today. Works well, comes in very early & no lockup. Didn't try in circuit mode

That suspension is fantastic!!!! Out on some rough roads over the weekend, hadthe front up over a few bumps etc & nice coming back down & good control
    Love it!

  10. Brilliant !!!

  12. I was out on my 'old school' 675R on Saturday.... dressed as in my avatar <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

R1 rider cuts in close on my way home so I follow him for a bit.

... erm..... are 675R supposed to keep up with R1's haha :) He gave up and slowed down in the end, and I stopped noting the speedo as the road ahead became more important at one point.... all my pretty blue lights were flashing on my rev counter

Bloody good bike, new or old.

  13. I must have been going fast because I had a massive amount of fly impact debrit on the top of my petrol tank behind the windscreen lol

  14. Good to see everybody is enjoying their 675's I'm not going to rise to the bait of R1 bashing going on I'd be interested to see that happen again. Interesting to note how some seem to have forgotten that I still own two Daytona's

  15. lol, my post wasn't aimed at you just telling my story from Saturday. I've also had a blast against my mates ZZR1400 and he also was surprised how my 675R kept up with him.

So unless your in a straight line blast to top speed, I still rate these little 675R triple things.

Kev, another guy I know has just had delivered his 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale lol.... currently being 'run in' so will be interesting to see how mine stacks up to that beast next.

I'm not saying that I beat any of these bikes, and I'm not saying mine is faster. But it just goes to show how plenty of real life discrepancies can mix it all up a bit. Like rider skills, tyre conditions, road conditions, confidence, not using full throttle, wrong gear, early braking, bad lines etc etc etc...

  16. Never said you were mate it is interesting to see what can mix things up like you said variables are a big factor put a 675R in the hands of an accomplished rider and he will no doubt take some big scalps. With the extra goodies of the 675R both the older and newer models piss all over anything else in the 600 bracket and if you have a map done from T3 racing you will have the correct fuel ratio and be able to own Gixer 750's with ease too.

Life is all about having fun and enjoying it and if you can own big litre bikes from a 675 then imagine what you'd be able to do on a litre beasty

  17. Kill myself beyond dust haha

  18. Just curious has their been a direct comparison between the F3 and 2013 675R yet? I know the older 675R shit all over it but just wondering seeing as the 2013 engine is more revvy much like the F3 just how much of a bigger gap it has pulled out over it?

I had a ride on the new Daytona but didn't see any reason To change, the looks are not for me but I would have overcome that if it was so far ahead of the old Daytona but in my opinion it wasn't. As far as MCN there review on the bikes for me was flawed as they contradict some of the other articles they have wrote on some of the other bikes. I take with a pinch of salt anything that is written in there paper. I am pleased to read that some of the owners on here rate there new purchase but how many of the other bikes in the test have you personally. Ridden until you have your opinions don't really mean much to me as your opinions are based on somebody else's views. I have both an older Daytona 675 and a mv agusta f3 if I had to get rid of one it would be a difficult decision do I keep the Daytona which for some reason keeps having recurring problems ( 2recti/regs) crack in headers an engine management light that keeps coming on but no faults found the bike has only done 6k or the mv well I know which one gives me the biggest grin and it ain't the triumph. Ps. Nick I had a 2008 r1. Did 46k trouble free mileage hope you have the same. As for looks sorry but for me this is a far better looking. . . . ai657.photobucket.com_albums_uu294_oldtimer_2009_IMG_00000133.png
