Only if you p*ss it off! The engine on mine kept getting better up to about 2500k miles, the running in period is a "Matter of discussion" to say the least.
this is true, think i stuck to the instructions for all of 5 mins pmsl, i'v got friends who have bought brand new bikes and had them for 5 or more years, no running in and just used them as there meant to be and never had a problem, so fingers crossed, failing that, thats what warranty is for
Exactly, the cyl lining only beds the rings properly within the first 150 miles or so, after that whatever seal the rings have is pretty much set for a long time. Thrash 'em hard and get the best out of the engine in the long time.
yep, plus the engines are all tested on workbenches for about 10 miles worth at higher revs than the instructions state anyway
