Ok so lots of you are NOT going to like this next mod. Really.

Oh cool a daytona 675 oh wait whats that on/off switch thats been installed into the seat?

I wonder what happens when you turn the light off and press the switch....

    ;) Ummmm????

So after the "Boom" (thunderflash  )

What actually is it, please? :)

I mean, you’ve obviously gone to considerable effort to put a micro switch in your seat.! And I can see there seems to be a light from somewhere???

:? But I'm a little baffled.! Is it an LED highlight for your exhaust? or an ultra-bright Number plate light, or a light to blind pursuing riders, or maybe a light to render your plate invisible to speed cameras????

We both did....I was merely wondering if it was activated by some kind of flatulence detection system, like for instance if he was trying to exit a motorway??

There is a lot less hate than what I was expecting.

The lighting at the bottom of the bike is done with LED strips, once facing up to illuminate the engine and one down to illuminate the ground.

Then there LED's implanted below the pillion shining on the Werkes exhaust and it also lights up the wheel.

The on/off is on the seat as it's easily flipable, near the battery and I didnt want to just attach it to the frame of the bike as that looks budget. This was the most professional-looking solution.

Don't do "hate" on here Plastercast, there is plenty of hate in the world already. :) You may get some friendly ribbing or derision, but I'm sure you’re man enough to take that in your stride.

Revolutionary technology though they are, I wonder if you’re aware that LED’s are pretty “heat susceptible”? so placing them in close proximity to your exhaust may dramatically reduce their lifespan.

  11. Should have used coloured LEDs!!

Just a quick one - I turned my bike on whilst is was on the stand and I noticed that when in neutral the engine idled at 1000 RPM for about 10 seconds, then it would go up to about 2000 RPM for about 10, then back down to 1000RMP and it would repeat this cycle. Is this normal?

  14. Dude from the pic your rear tyre is looking pretty squared off have you done a lot of motorway miles on her?

Yeah I suppose. Why? Do I need to get new tires? Know anything about the idling question?

  16. If they are squaring off bud the bike won't tip into corners properly and it will affect the handling in a big way if they are squared off then invest in a new set pronto dude. The idling thing sounds like it could be the TPS (Throttle position sensor) working it's magic although it normally takes around 12-15 seconds for it to set itself IIRC. I could be wrong though does it do it if the bike isn't on the stand?

Mine revs up and down for about a minute or so. Always has. Just a cold start, choke like system.

Squared tyres are ok. Get them hotter, ride harder and they will round off a bit.

Got rid of the spikes, they were not good.

I think I'm done. I can't think of anything else now.
