Great post Relentless. But can we have some pics of the bike when fitted, say from a few angles and maybe with you sat on it taken by someone looking at you from the front so we can see how far they come out ? Pretty please ? Ta mate. Richard.
Sorry for the delay with the pics everyone Finally managed to remember to take some pics whilst out on a ride today - should give you a good idea of what the 650 mirrors look like once fitted up Oh.....and whilst I do have a striking resemblance to the Michelin Man in the photo of me on the bike......it's my winter gear and is SUPPOSED to be loose  Anyway, here you go: From the front From back - without rider From back - with rider As you can just make out - with my head in the central position I can literally move my eyes left / right and am able to see d me without any problems at all Hope those help if you're considering the mirrors......they don't look THAT bad IMHO Oh and if you were in or around the "On Yer Bike" area today on a triple I was on mine with my girly on her all black (gold rims) '09 R1
http://www.reevu.com/ had a try of this (not riding) - helps a bit if you want to see what's behind you.
Would they be the ones from here? http://www.cyclemirrors.com/index-1.html If not, which were the ones you tried? I'd like to steer clear of wasting my time and money if possible... Cheers
I had a try of one of those but not on a bike. I felt that on a sportsbike all you would see would be sky but on BMW GS or similar it would prob have worked fine.
I just make them reflect a bit too far outward, and then move my head sideways to get the proper angle when I want to see behind.
Don't you look forwards on a sportsbike? You hold your helmet at the same angle no matter what you ride if you want to look in the same place and anyway the mirror is adjustable.
