if people want to do the sweden trip i live in the north west part of germany if people wanted to split up the journey. its 330 miles from dunkirk to my area in germany (Bielefeld), and would be around another 300 odd to sweden. the roads are all pritty good once you get through belgium, and there are some awsome tracks in or arround here as well for a track day? just an idea

  6. Sweden and that bridge have been on my "to do" list for a while, trouble has been finding a time when we can both go. :(

  7. That's the Oresund Bridge and I've been over it...alas not on a bike :(
One of my best friends is Swedish and I went over there for her wedding, via Copenhagen...what an awesome experience...it'd be ace on a bike

Been over the bridge a few times on the bike (it is only an hour from me) and depending on the wind/weather is can be an interesting experience but the tunnel is another thing.
Until a few years ago, there weren’t any cameras inside the tunnel and I have to confess that I have gone flat out through there in the wee hours and the sound was beautiful.

Sweden is not what I would call awesome in any area, pretty, nice and even different but it is where I park my bikes for now. :D

Maybe a Sweden thread is the answers as I can try to honestly answer your questions and post a few links over the coming months…

Does anyone still want to come to Spain, or have Swedish charms seduced everyone?

  15. Hmmm Spain, nice and warm, or Sweden colder and bloody expensive.

Spain for me, no offence meant overseas.

None taken as I'm not Swedish but simply live there.
Climate wise, it cannot compete with Spain of course but its summers are summers if you know what I mean?
Cost wise, there’s not of difference with booze, food, accommodation and petrol is actually cheaper than UK.

Given the choice I would opt for Spain if I’d never been there but there can't be many Brits that haven’t visited Spanish shores, can’t really say the same for Sweden.

I’m not much of a long term planner but in a few months time I will post some dates I will be free, if anyone fancies Sweden – then come on down :)

Im probably going to have to give the Spain trip a miss. Have decided to sell my house after xmas and buy a slightly larger one with "she who must be obeyed" . So my trip to the Maldives and Spain are firmly on hold. I most certainly AM still going to the TT however . There will be no house at all before that gets nocked on the head
