After being stuck what to get my nephew for Chrimbo I took this thread on board and went to PC World, had a play with a few tablets and settled on the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (Thanx button punched Revvin!) So asked the sales bod in PC World about the Samsung cash back, he didnt have a clue what I was on about so the Manager was called and he said it stopped on the last day of November - BOLLOX!!! - Came home and had a dig around and found the following if its a help to anybody else who has been told its too late to claim. https://samsungbacktocollege.com/pages/holding Very straight forwards claim procedure, requires model number and serial number of device and scan of till receipt - ALTHOUGH - you have to wait at least 15 days after your purchace to make the claim or its "invalid" and the money will be put in your account within 30 days of the date of claim. WELL CHUFFED!!! THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!!
Thought i'd resurrect an old thread.... Has anyone treat themselves to a new ipad mini with retina? Tempted to get one after having a go with the original version my 11 year old niece has. Yep, i'm way behind the young ones!!
I was sorely tempted when I recently sold my ipad2. Ended up getting the air which is narrower, thinner and lighter than previous gen iPads, but still felt more like a "screen" cf. a large phone. I couldn't sacrifice the screen real estate to go down to a mini: I use the iPad for reading books, magazines as well as watching movies when travelling, the mini just seemed too small by comparison

I use an iPad2 for surfing and for watching films on LoveFilm. However, it cannot let me use the chat facility for this forum.
This forum has a chat room? Geez learn something new every day right enough, I should maybe use my mac now and again
