Ah sweet! Hey james! Lol yeah it's pretty good this site, I dunno if you read my other post but my engine managment light came on Monday morning so I took it to jack Lilley and the cables to the ex vale had gone! So that was £62 I didn't need to spend! I think you cursed my bike buy parking yours to close to mine hehe!!
Ah no way! Remember I was saying that those aree prone to going. I took mine in to be regreased but its only a matter of time before it goes I guess. Pain in the ass! One day Trimuph will be able to not only make bikes that look great and go like stink ..... But actually work properly aswell. Mine hasn't broken down in the last 5 days so Im really lucky at the moment
lol haha! yeah the dude at the servicing desk said we get ex vavles problems in weekly! they said they lubed it up but it will go, gee thanks guys!
Still, can't be worse than Ducati ownership, or Suzuki cycle parts falling to bits, or Kawasaki engine vibration making your hands and feet go numb?
lol my Kawasaki never worked in the rain, the rain would somehow fill my carbs with water so If I stopped it'd cut out, so I had to rev it to keep it goin but then I'd get strange looks from people at traffic lights thinking I want to race!
Not wanting to hijack the thread but mine is from Feb 06 (first in Sweden I'm told) and since owning it I have done a trip to UK every year which goes something like this – Sweden – Germany – Belgium – France – England – Wales or Sweden – Denmark – ferry to England. I’ve done about 2 dozen track days (dropped it once) and most of the time I ride it to / from the track. It’s a machine and it seems I have a ‘good un’ that hasn’t missed a beat in the years I’ve owned it but… It has been serviced as per the book but now its out of warranty I plan to do it all myself where poss. (I have changed the oil twice between services as a thank you for being thrashed on the track) Its partly in bits now as its pretty cold here in Sweden so I have the wheels, fairing, exhaust off while I tinker a bit… I have a clip of riding over someone’s leg on a warm up lap, is it possible to link vids?
There's a few of us who go down box hill. Some of us try and meet on a Sunday morning. I might pop down Friday night, weather permitting! I think you've just taken my record as youngest member of the forum!
Lol sweet, well I'm normally sat at a tgi Friday bar on a Friday evening but I was gonna try an get to boxhill sometime Saturday afternoon/evening an creep up to the ace, not normally around on Sunday mornings as I have a part time job at a stables (even tho I work mon - fri) I sometimes get there about 2ish but normally just random nights during the week, or at Krispy Kream lol!
Nonsense - you're 21, you're supposed to have a little fun!! - If you are still there in 30 years time then yes, you may have a problem....
My Kwaka's used to suffer from carb icing.I had a mod fitted to one of them which made it run worse! Never mind, day's gone by. Happy birthdays to Hazza and Mark. Sounds like a Box Hill ,675 birthday photo shoot?? As D41 says enjoy yourself.
Lol yeah I brought another set of carbs on eBay but they were even worse too so made a hybread set out the two! Mm box hill birthday pic sounds fun haha!
Believe it or not, I didn't even know about Box Hill until last week... and they say it's the best biking destination in the UK So I figure I will go and and check it out this weekend - is Ryka's where I should be heading? P.S. I love Krispy Kremes TGIF
Pete, If you don't know it, Box Hill is probably the best bike meet in the south. Sunday is usually the main turn out. It's off the M25 and look for the town of Dorking. You can travel, from Kent and the East via the A25 I think. Through several villages, very pleasent but mind the speed camera's though. I havn't been there in a while. Ryka's is a most excellent restaurant/burger bar at the venue with fair prices for their wares. However last time I was there I did recieve some jip from non biking types , driving cars, who were out rambling and had the hump about parking spaces. Usually It's ok and quite a bit of two wheeled exotica turns up.
Welcome Hazza, Redseven & any other noobs i've not yet said hi to. Boxill have thier own website at boxhill.co.uk. Worth a look. Its been a bikers venue since the 1920's. I used to go in 1977/8 when i lived nearer, but not since moving to Kent. I will do once i get my 675 though.
