Poor Richtea, what have you started mate. Guys - any chance of keeping this thread on topic pleeeeeeeeez, rich won't be coming back else...
With the weather we have been having, probably best stick to biscuits but, I tried my first proper wet trackday last week at Oulton. Not the best... Bought pair of wets off the tyre man, all set for the first session. Geezer in the pits says 'those are on the wrong way' - check with tyre guy and he has to refit them so I miss the first session. Start second session. Just as I start to get going, maybe two laps, the back is really squirrelly and I'm losing confidence fast. Bloke points at my back wheel and I pull off the track. Back tyre is flat as a pancake. Limp in missing the second session. Tyre guy plugs hole (it's big) not on the sidewall. Start third session. On third lap tyre plug pops out. Limp home again. Sit in pits for a bit feeling unlucky missing forth session but relieved not to have binned my posh road bike. Fifth Session go out in different group on buddies bike, truly horrible Hornet (£650 off ebay) but do a whole session. Try again next month.
Hi Rich I'm not far from you...I work on the outskirts of Manc, near Eastlands stadium...Oulton is my local but not yet plucked up courage enough to do a trackday  Been a little put off by what I've seen at Cadwell and Oulton, and far too many red flagged sessions...not enough bottle Enjoy the forum... Biscuit anyone???
