Hi all, Just an update i have passed my module 1 test woo hoo so 1 step closer, should be taking module 2 in a few weeks just waiting for a slot. I have a problem tho don't meen to swear on this fourm but can't decide which bike daytona 675 or yamaha R6 ? Any of you guys & gals give me the pro's & con's of these bikes ?

 

I havent ridden an R6 but you will be in an exclusive club if you get a 675 I cant recommend one highly enough it has gr8 tourque so you dont have to thrash the thing to make it go and you will break all speed limits in 2nd gear. Another thing is that the sound amazing.

 

I fully recommend the R6 matey! If you want to blend in with the boring, soul-less, jap-crap, rice burner crowd

Everyone seems to pass there test and head straight for the Yamaha shelf!! Like they say, you can be a shepherd or a sheep!!

On a serious note I'd go and have a look and a play with them both, as soon as you sit on the bike you'll know whether its right or not!! I agree with all of the above though, the Daytona is a fantastic bike! Have you been to the dealers yet?

Yeah went to the main dealers last saturday spoke with a guy called chris nice chap just that the part exchange price on my bike was shocking only 5mths old and the price they offered me well left me thinking are they trying to pull my pants down and spank my botty saying that tho talking prices with out the part ex the daytona is in my price bracket £7299 and the colour my friends would be RED like the extras on the white se but not keen on the blue frame.

R6 is fun, but you have to run high revs all the time to get the power on. It may seem great at first, but becomes tiresome. The Daytona has so much grunt in all gears, it becomes more fun every time I ride it. Keep the grin on your face and buy a 675

 

i too thought about the r6 first but then didnt ...dont be a sheep mate you know it makes sense

I had a 09 R6 when I passed my test, only had it 6 weeks and chopped it in against the 675 and never looked back.
