Does anybody have any ideas? I went for a ride today, rode home with everything fine and even refuelled on my way home. When I tried to start the bike again, I can't get it going. the starter is turning over but it's not starting. I've tried all the normal things but it's nothing obvious, I think. Please help me!!
Take it you've looked at the fuse's, your definately in neutral, the kill switch is in the correct postion (my most common one  ) I know these are obvious but just checking. If these are all done then the next thing is to see if anything else is not working like brake lights, headlights because this will rell you also if a particular relay isn't working. also check the side stand switch, if it's getting stuck, if you know how to do it also try and unplug it and get a bit of wire and bridge the connection (put the wire from one side to the other) will need two people the other to start. If none of these work give me a p.m. and i'll give Louis a call (my friend who is a triumph mechanic).
we think we know what it is. RAC came out and the guy said 'i recon it's the crank thingy sensor' (or something) but he didn't know where to find it, so he phoned the office and asked them to look into it. They phoned back 2 minutes later and said that sensor is behind the clutch cover. Oh really, funny that. Jack Lilley replaced the clutch cover gasket last week. By the way, RAC - really good. Here within 30 minutes and very helpful!
Did you check the kickstand-switch-engine-cutoff-thingy?? ...I had that happen once - can't remember how I fixed it...it needed some lube or something 'cos it was sticking, if memory serves.
jack lilley are apparently waiting to hear back from Triumph. I called Triumph and they said that I've been 'unlucky'. That's 2 brand new broken 675's!
