Just one on pillion pegs. If you are spending all that money on race protection etc. Id leave them on. Mine took the brunt of my crash and saved my tail unit. Free protection. Get them powder coated though.

23dark the more you allow for offs the more you’re likely to have one imo!

Hence why mine’s got no crash protection, no pillion pegs, no mirrors etc etc.. :D

  4. Haha interesting view, I did the same when I rode horses and wouldn't ride with a lid only when I had to in competitions. But after dropping the Dark once cause my legs where too short and the surface shit I decided I'd better, but I took off my pillions pegs cause I think it ruins the line and ill never take pillion. On the track I know I'll bin it again, to date we have either done or have booked 16 track days and i will do a European one too and hope to race next year, so I think statistically its inevitable ;)

    Hello All,

Thought I would write a brief 'up date' for those that are interested. Been enjoying the bike a lot recently done about 1,000 miles since i've had it and really enjoying the 675. Love how strong the bike pulls from low RPM's and that you don't need to rev the nuts off it to get it moving unlike the japanese counterparts...
Have only had 1 close encounter at a junction as I was going straight on and a car decided to pull out in front of me using the old excuse of 'I didn't see you!' well that would be because you wearn't F*kin looking! Anyway, I always take the approach of expecting people to pull out of junctions in front of me that way I am always prepared to stop...

I am thinking about doing my first trackday soon with the 675, am a little apprehensive about taking the bike on track but I do think that it will do my riding ability on the bike the world of good. Need to invest in some decent leathers as I have been riding in textiles up until now, the Dainese Laguna Seca Pro 1 piece looks like my favorite at the moment.

Really pleased with the mod's that I have done on the bike so far, only comment that I have got is that the arrow can can be a little 'droney' when cruising without the DB killer in it but sounds the mutts nutts when opening it up :) the mod's list is growing by the minute with quickshifter and new tyres on the list, LED indicators and double bubble screen to come shortly after... no doubt the list will get longer and longer and longer :)

Going out riding with a few friends this Sunday so more time to enjoy the bike.

    James
