I get that occassionally. Most of the time I get, "Hadrian? As in the wall?" Theres also been comments about Hadrians bottled water or a local air conditioning service. I don't mind really. At least I'm not called Dave......(no offence to Daves, it's just a very common name)
Welcome matey. Used to have an NC 30 myself. Brilliant bike. Helps if you have little hands though. Took me nearly a whole day once to change the plugs!
Definitely not a job if your sensitive about your knuckles. Very good at taking skin clean off them. I have a question. What sort of price bracket do 675's go for at this time of year? Probably an 06-07 model so the age lowers the insurance a tad. Been looking on the bay and they're fetching £4500-5000 at the minute from the dealerships but I'm wondering if these are over inflated prices like they commonly are on there. Any advice is welcome. Thanks
I saw that and was a bit worried that it was quite a bit cheaper than the others. A little too far for me to travel though or to get somebody to pick it up for me....
Right guys. Going to view one this week. Other than the general stuff like chain, sprockets, tires, pads etc. Is there anything in particular I should look out for? Thanks!
Sure....you can check the VIN# and see if there's been any recalls on the bike and see if the work has been done....check the mileage too, if it has say 10-11K miles, then there's a good chance the 12K service hasn't been done, so it's an additional expense that will soon be due...it's also a bargaining tool if you try to negotiate a lower price. Take a mate who's knowledgeable about bikes along with you, just so you get an impartial opinion.
Thanks Darren. Great advice as the bike has just over 10k miles on it. But valve clearances have just been done apparently.
Well done Hadies, that didn't take you long! Did you get that neat graphite one that dyz was considering looking at?
Yep! That's the one. I was going to look at it on Saturday originally but there were a few interested parties so I had to get in there quick. So chuffed.
Haha. I'm sure a good one will come along for you mate! 11 days on this forum and I couldn't resist the urge any longer.
Congrats...it's a nice bike - the guy certainly did a nice job of putting it back together after such a bad high-side!!
That's what I was thinking D, but apparently you can tell the frame is all twisted when you look closely at the rear, because the tail is still slightly lopsided. Stroke of genius though, re-programming the speedo so that the 100k miles now reads 10k
LOL...... The speedo has actually been changed though so its only showing 2 thousand and odd miles on it. The last one failed but it's documented in the service hand book.
Brought the bad boy home tonight. Nearly bloody dropped it in front of the owner as I was thrown by the weight but to be fair, it was a bit of a hill....... Anyway.... The bike is epic. It's all I have to say. Need to adjust the clutch as the biting point is a bit far out for my liking and maybe turn the bars in a little bit.
