I can't really say much about jeans as I wear them myself but I always wear jacket, gloves and boots... I might look stupid in the middle of summer but it's not actually hot when your moving.

People in t-shirts and shorts don't really bother me though, if they want to leave all there skin on the road that's up to them. I just feel sorry for the people who will have to scrap it up.

About 12 years my then girlfriend came of her bicycle at about 15mph when a dog ran in front of her. When we got to casualty they used a scrubing brush to clean the dirt out of her palms which had lost the top layer of skin. She was screaming in pain and it haunts me to this day. I never ride motorbike or bicycle now without gloves.

Always used to ride abroad without any protective gear on (not even a lid  ) but wouldnt dream of doing it over here, even if it was 120 degrees. I like my skin exactly where it is thank you very much.

  6. I agree that its their stupid fault if they want to wear t shirts. Problem I have with it is that it gives the wrong impression to those that don't ride, that all bikers are absolute twats. We need to do all we can to get the non biking public on side
