Well i completely surprised family and friends by announcing that i had sold my from new 2007 Tiger 1050 with 42000 miles and exchanging for something smaller, lighter and more nimble - and turning up with a new Daytona! My wife fainted, my son laughed, my daughters think i'm cool and my friends believe i have dementia. Either way i am reborn; 750 miles in and the bike is utterly fantastic and in comparison the Tiger feel like a big old crude barge. Leaning forward feels like you're more connected to the bike and I'm not uncomfortable on it; in fact i don't suffer at all from a numb bum like i used to on the Tiger and the forward leaning position is far better for my bad back than an upright seating position. I've always kept fit through weights and press-ups etc so i don't find the extra weight on my wrists a big problem either. So very happy with my choice and have regained what bikes are all about - excitement!
Hi Alan Welcome in. Hope to see you soon (I'm in Guildford) (maybe at http://www.wvam.org.uk ...shhh they're really good)
Welcome to our friendly little forum Ajay, can we tempt you to join us at the forum trackday now that you have a suitable bike for the task. That will really allow you to find the excitement again, & without having to worry about your licence. Have you had other bikes, before your Tiger.?
Thanks chaps for the kind replies. Yes i decided to join this forum as i noticed it was very friendly - unlike many i've seen... Yep previous bike to the Tiger was a Sprint RS 955 owned for around 4 yrs, and many bikes prior to that dating back to when i started riding (officially!) in 1971 with no gaps inbetween. I'm afraid i am probably quite a bit older than most of you lot on here...
IMHO there are plenty of "old" twenty some-things, and I know a good few "young spirited" who sport those desirable grey highlights up top. However I may not be entirely unbiased.
Does this mean Lineker is part of the forum as well as Prince Harry then!?!? https://www.675.cc/675/index.php?threads/Hello-from-a-new-boy.429/
