Fuel tank changes

Just a quick one. Do the fuel tanks change from original to face lift models?

 

Just the fuel cap is different

 

Difference style or fitting? Will a early fuel cap fit a 2010 tank say?

 

I think the fitting is different. The bolt pattern is the way I remember it differing.

Ok, cool. I guess the main fittings are ok and as its going to be a track bike I can get a quick release fuel cap for the track tank.
