british made leathers

Discussion in 'General' started by ricobano, Apr 18, 2012.

  1. Yes, they are still going. I read an article on them recently. They only make leathers to order and they ain't cheap but they are extremely good quality.

I have had a 2 piece set of RST leathers for about 5 years now and mainly use them in winter and they have stood up extremely well.

  2. AM leathers made in uk made to measure a*** no limits TD are now using them. As Scott leather kept getting sent back due to sizing problems.

Rst pro series also a*** can falut them had plenty of crashs and still going strong.

I can't comment on the longevity of RST because I only got them a few weeks ago but so far all seems fine and I can't find any fault with them.

  5. Search halo and 125cc forum on google read the mega post on them.

  6. Been mentioned before but another plus for A.M leather`s Barnard Castle , County Durham , England . Made to measure only , if they are good enough for real racer`s that buy their own leather`s then they are good enough for the like of us (yes i own a set) , might even try to get them on one day (one may have gained a pound or two since the last time i wore them . for whatever reason i always felt really safe in mine)..
And i have no connection with A.M just really liked mine till i stopped growing up and started growing out in all direction`s , bu99er..

100% recommend Kate & co at Hideout, not cheap but have consistently scored top marks in any crash testing articles run by the mags, my 2 piece is one of theirs, custom fitted and is lovely to wear. Made on the premises too, from top grade leather, using forcefield armour and quality triple stitching. Certainly worth a look anyway.

  8. Havnt bks and aka frank Thomas gone bust? I'm sure they have and that's why they have only a limited range available!

Personally I wouldn't touch Halo. Mate was part of a group buy and he sent his suit back. Bad fitting, long delays, spelling mistakes on logos. His suit was a mess. Plus he asked for a race hump and didn't get one.

  13. Yup search it and then see what I wrote in it.

    ...

    Mine are wicked.

  14. That's what I'd heard as well. My next set will be Hideout or BKS and will be custom fitted. And as an Anatomist I'm also very tempted by Dave Aldana's
