Red gen 1 or 2 with a couple of other bikes yesterday on the way from the Ribblehead viaduct to Hawes, I was on the Thruxton taking it relatively gently as it that road that wrote off my first Daytona. Onto something you don't want to see, more average speed cameras being installed on the road from Clitheroe to long preston, That'll be both my routes up to the Yorkshire dales now, as I think they've already done the other route from Lancaster
What were you doing out and enjoying yourself on a skool day? Sooo unfair. As a sensible, old laydee car driver, I actually welcome the forest of average speed cams popping up everywhere. They regulate traffic flow and you don't get the eejits totally disrespectin' local communities. As a very non sensible idiot bike rider, I effin hate them!!! So many of my fave roads have either had cams installed or, my other rant, resurfaced with kitty litter.
I saw a white 675r with a female rider (in very fetching leathers too) just south of York on the ring road at around 3pm today. @Janey , were you & Mr Janey straying from leafy Oxfordshire.?
Did you get close enough to see if they had a full on RBF? They didn't? Probably wasn't me then. I like the sound of fetching leathers though.
Bearing in mind that I was driving my Trackday transport unit ( aka little Vito van), only viewed her face momentarily as I waved her & her chaperone out from their filter line of traffic... -Bearing all that in mind, if what I saw was the rider's "RBF", then she must be aesthetically blessed imho. Anyway, I presumed that the location would be the identifying factor mate.
Red gen 2 at St Annes bike night parked next to my 675R. Also a Moto2 Daytona at the same place but was in pretty appalling condition
White Gen2 parked up in the bays in St Giles in Oxford this morning. I only saw its cute little nose poking from between the other bikes out as I drove past, so it may have been a SE.
Black 10 plate gen 2 with Arrow in Southport, had 675.cc stickers on the screen but from previous owner, mentioned the forum to the current owner, was his first ever bike.
Gen1? 2? Coming through Wallingford at about half two this afternoon with a custom dark red / burgundy paint job.
2013 Daytona 675R at St Annes bike night, was on mine for a change instead of the Thruxton and a bit surprised to see another one.
Today, I saw something fabulous: one of the new CBR600RRs out in the wild. It's the first one I've seen outside a showroom, and it looks fantastic. From a distance, I thought it was a 'Blade, but then I noticed the underseat exhaust, which is a tenuous enough connection to the 675s of old to warrant posting here. I'm not sure the rider was too impressed by me cutting in front of them to point at their 'bike and wave like an idiot. .
Saw '5ft Fifi's' D675 at the Open Evening at Peter Hickman Racing last Wednesday. Some great bikes there, with a good turnout of people.
That's a heckofa way to go for a bike night. The BBQ must've been spectacular to warrant the trip from the south coast
Haha - I had to visit Yorkshire to do a few jobs, then went to stay with friends who live very near Cadwell Park. We did intend to go to BSB on Saturday, but gave up that plan with the weather the way it was.
Red Gen2 in Escrick (I think that's the place?). Spotted as me & Mr J were heading back down to the more civilised South.
Fwiw I've seen a Red one kicking around the York area (just up the road from me). Hope you make it back to civilisation safely.
I was channeling my inner Goth for a long weekend in Whitby. By 'eck some of those North York Moors roads are amazing (and a little bit scary). And that was in the car! You have some awesome riding around your way.
