So, can someone help with the lifting points? I know it's a two point lift, so 1 will be the pivot point, like abba uses, this one has the black bung covering it (middle of rear sets), so where is the second? Is it the small hole just above and to the right?
Steffydog, a lug will be provided that replaces the bolt & nut combo in the frame just above the oil filler cap, only it will be on the opposite side of the bike and you switch the bolt so the lug is on the left hand side of the bike.
Not really, they shouldn't be selling goods that they don't have in stock and if they do, inform the buyer - which they didn't!
I ordered mine at the NEC in November and got the stand in late January when i started this thread. It was worth the wait but i was happy to wait having seen how good it was at the show. The wait time again was because they had a run of bike shows over that period in England, Ireland, Scotland, Holland etc.
I brought said stand off Burndownthedisco when he changed his bike. I'm the most impatient person in the world but I would have waited if needs be due to quality of product but saying that there is no excuse for poor customer services. I've order new kits and spoke to them at the show and I find them to be spot on.
I got mine delivered last week and just unpacked but I've been sent the wrong lug... Rang up and told one would be put in the post for me... got races on thursday and was planning on using this today in order to change / check the steering bearings...
Might want to check your lug as the one inside did not match the number on the box it came in! Pretty poor to be honest, was asked for my Swedish address so a replacement would be put in the post but no confirmation that has been done..
Nope!! Mine sat on that stand for 4 months and was pushed around the garage with no wheels on all the time. Smashing bit of kit.
Nope, it has a second point, which sticks out from the bike about 2 inches mmm, I'll take some pictures, looks a bit Heath Robinson tbh, and for £300 I think it's a bit poor. Basically you screw an adapter part into of the bike above and left of the pivot point. Then the lifter slots into the two holes.
While u think that steffydog you totally forget it's there and the ease that u can put it on and off makes it worth while. I've never even had anyone notice it was there
I would like to get a rubber or plastic bung for the adaptor but for when riding. Stories of open ended handlebars taking core samples are brought to mind when I see it.
I've had a 1jac for a while with my speed four on but recently ordered the kit to use it with my daytona. I need to take the top engine nut out and spin it round for the adapter lug. Is there any risk of the engine slumping if I remove this without the engine supported?
