Gary, this is Chris I work with Nig he is on holiday now till next Wednesday. Yes we can do a kit for the 2014 Tuono, did you inquire on another forum earlier? Give me a shout if you want me to organise one for you Thanks guys for the positive feedback on here lately, appreciate it
Cheers for the reply, no i havent asked on another forum. If you could let me no the full cost with p&p cheers gary.
Jeez Wobbley the way tapatalk had displayed the last post on feed screen all I saw was I got my bits in the 1Jac. I feared the worst!
A bit broken 675 of pittys on the 1jac bit funny at first to use but few goes and its great good bit of kit
I'm thinking of getting one of these, there £295 delivered now, anyone any updated news, forum discount, or other info, while I decide? I'm not desperate for one, but in the next few months
im sure they were £265 at 1 point for forum members ive been intouch with them a few time seam a gfood bunch but just never actually took the plunge and bought 1 whenever i was thinking about it and had the cash something else always came first
I've popped them an email to ask. I've got an ABBA, but I'm thinking of this, as it'd be easier in the garage, bit tight on space, so having the bike movable, and upright would be good. The copy version is on Demon at weeks for about £150 odd.
I think Chris Hiles or Nigel are registered on here as 1jac. Chris is a good guy and they should do you decent discount.
I got a 1jac for xmas, great bit of kit. but having some issues aligning it on my bike (S1000rr). Hoping anyone with one can help me as the instructions are not hugely detailed. When setting the bracket in the correct place, does the arm need to be in the fully extended position ? as when i do that the mounting points are too low for my bike. Also, how does the adjuster arm work, do you connect that first and then set the bit 24mm bolt in the correct position? If someone could talk me through the steps they did that would be great!
As far as setting the bracket: No....I have to lower arm/raise carriage slightly to get it to the correct height. I had some problems setting mine up on my first bike and emailed/texted with the guys and they were super helpful. The main trick is to get it lined up, let the bike settle into the carriage, hand tighten everything then, before you lift it up for the first time, make do everything up to the correct torque (especially the main bolt). The adjustment is really meant to be a support with the main rotational forces being held by the friction between the plate and carriage. But best let 1Jac talk you through it.....because my memory isn't always great and I could have something wrong.
I went to the NEC bike show in November with the aim to look at a 1jac and see one in action, I spoke to the guys on the stand and they were very friendly and gave me a demo of how the stand worked and I was very impressed to be honest. One of the guys even got on the bike when it was in the air and started jumping up and down on it to show how strong it really was. Roll on a month and mrs edd1e spoilt me and got me for one Christmas. Assembly was easy enough, I just found aligning the mounting bracket to the stand a little fiddly, but once you know what you're doing it fairly easy to be honest. My questions above were just me making sure I has done it correctly. Make sure you have someone holding the bike when doing the mounting of the bracket to the stand. I was worried if I would be able to put the bike on the stand and take off by myself without help from someone holding the bike, and thankfully after a few goes it's pretty easy. I can put the bike on the stand in under 5 seconds by myself... vs a few mins for front / rear paddock stands. The 1jac is also better than paddock stands in my opinion as they do not block the front axle spindle access and ensure the forks do not get twisted. I'm aware there are various designs now like this stand, but as the post earlier from 1jac in this thread explains, 1jac are made here in the UK, the guys are only a call away and I know after seeing the demo just how string this stand is. Would I trust my £15k bike on a Chinese copy to save £100? No. Hope that helps someone.
Cool, thanks for the reply. Last question, when rolling it around the garage, does it feel ok, my garage floor isn't the smoothest, yours looks pretty good.
My garage floor is not perfectly smooth, but as you say... it's not that bad either. I can wheel the bike around and it seems pretty safe. It might be harder to move it around on a floor that is not as smooth, but i don't think there is much risk of the bike falling off / over... just be that it's harder to move around (more effort required) I would think. Having said that i'm sure there is obviously a point where it becomes not possible to move.
