Discussion in 'General' started by Trinity, Mar 10, 2010.

  1. Thanks steve. Not sure fowlers have a spares bin but I'll ask the lads next time I'm down there, but not expensive to buy new so I'll order if need be. Might even pop down this weekend :D

Ade, try asking the workshop lads if they've got a used one left over from fitting a Triumph heated grips kit to a 1050, could be you'd get one for the price of a bag of doughnuts. :)

  3. I just got the pair of speed triple grips at jack lilleys for £8 they have one more pair in the basket when I left

  4. finally got this done today after suffering from the cheese headed screws that stu had on my throttle housing.

note to anyone trying its a PH star head that gets them loose without mashing the screws up. although i did slip and mash one on tightening.

only sat on it at idle but it seems mental in a good way.

  5. YES YES YES YES YES

    this is great this mod

might have to nip to france this weekend to try it some more

  6. Got my part.....................now got to find time to fit it!!
Been sat on the kitchen worktop for over a week and the bike has been sat in the garage even longer :(
Can't wait to get it on :)

  7. Yay at long last got the throttle mod done :D only took about 6 weeks!!!
seems much more responsive, cant wait to get out on it and see what its like to ride now :D :D

  8. Be prepared for it Ade, the front wheel comes up real quick if you're not careful ! And accelerating out of bends requires a bit of caution until you get used to the change.

This has gotta be one of the best ever mods for the Daytona, absolutely changes the responsiveness in acceleration. I actually thought the bike felt like it had another 15-20 Hp, although thats impossible, its just what it felt like to me in the saddle.

Just need some good weather now mate.

    Richard.

  12. Buzz.

    Try these guys.

    http://www.wemoto.com

Good service and it looks like they have stock of the ST1050 RH Throttle Grip, part number T2040331, price £ 7.93 inc VAT plus a couple of quid p&p.

Scroll down and type T2040331 into their OEM part number search button and Bob's your mothers brother.

    I'll change my link.

    Richard.

Less! But not unusably so, I'm sorry I don't even know the degrees are for the standard one. In essence no need to crank the wrist to an uncomfortable angle or take a second handful but not so quick as to make proper modulation difficult.

No it isn't. The 1050 tube is a single item not 3 options. It exactly matches the standard grip and is for road use-on the big triple- and costs less than a tenth as much.
