SOLD - thanks for the interest. Listing on behalf of my GF ... After riding my 675, she's besotted with the triple, so her 636 is up for grabs. I took it out for a session at Brands recently and when I remembered how to rev a four thought it was well set up and very capable. Recently serviced (only done one trackday since!); oil, oil filter, brake fluid, air filter and sparks. Brake pads (Forodo) replaced at the end of last season so not much wear with only two days this year. Full service including valve clearances (all fine) last year. I bought this as a converted road bike for reliability and the little extra you get from the 636cc; I’ve been happy with it for the last couple of years, but looking to upgrade now. It was set up with the correct spring etc for a 12 stone rider by the previous owner, however I just adjusted the sag and it’s been fine for me at just under 9 stone. This bike is a track bike so does have scuffs on the bodywork from transport etc; don’t expect showroom bodywork. It did have a slide in the wet at Graham Hill, so there is a minor engine case scuff. I used it on the road last year, but it saw so few outings that I haven’t MOT’d it this year. Side stand is currently on the bike, which makes it a lot easier coming back in from a session. However, I will happily add 12 months MOT for the full asking price. Delivery is possible depending on where/when. Wets on wheels with good condition tyres. Spare sprocket and sprocket carrier also included. Road kit including pillion pegs and seat included. Also a variety of other spares including the original fuel cap (uses original keys). Looking for £2850, fresh MOT at cost price if wanted. Pictured stand is not included. I also have a second spare rear wheel with spacer and sprocket carrier that is not included but is available by separate negotiation (ideal if you want to get your rear tyre swapped during a trackday.) Cheers for the interest people! She has certainly been tempted by offers of shiny road bikes, but so far managing to resist... As it'll probably only be used on track, prefer to be looking at a ready to go track bike. I've previously said that if her bike sells before arranging another, she can use mine (I've got access to a SV650 track bike as a backup too), letting her wait until winter to get a bargain if need be. Will still keep the offers in mind; so will see how good she is at resisting the temptation of a new toy *now* .
She's now got herself a 675 with many more farkles than mine! So price reduced to £2850 - if you want an MOT, add the cost of an MOT onto the full asking price and we'll happily get that sorted!
Can't believe this hasn't sold. They are so under rated and too often overlooked and this one is a great spec. If I was looking for a super sport bike this would only just be under the Daytona at the top of my list. Good luck with the sale
I'm looking to start doing trackdays and am looking for something just like this although I havn't got the funds right now. Can't believe it's still available to be honest, GLWS
Cheers. Haven't pushed it that much as we were at Glastonbury festival etc; now on ebay but just the usual jokers so far. When we first put it up we had someone come and look who was really enthusiastic, unfortunately had an FI code and I wasn't there; they found something else before we got it sorted. Talked her through diagnoses and it was just that she'd knocked out a connector while cleaning it before the pictures - push in a couple of mm and all fine again.
