Anyone got one or had one..? The D675r is getting the heave ho and thinking on replacing it wi one of these..? Was gonna go down the KTM route but thinking a z1000 now.
A mate had one for a few weeks (trader) and liked it, got a bit tired of the windblast, another acquaintance had one and had it tuned, loved the bike but reckoned it just egged him on to do bad things on the road, iirc he had a couple of clutches in it as well. Sorry that's it.
Ah well the new z1000sx has a screen, it has to have a screen that's why I'm nae going for speed triple for that same reason when you start going over 90 a ton for me the wind is too much , feel like heeds getting ripped aff. But needing to get rid of sportsbikes as my back starting to go , used to managed to bang out miles nae bother but this year I was starting to struggle. So going for comfort from now on I think Gutted to see my new D675r go but I have 10k of fun on him so hey oh time for something new
My mates got a 63reg z1000sx and loves it. He has come from an r1 because he was after something more comfy for longer riding. He loves it. Its got sports cans on aswell and sounds nice and loud.
ive rode my mates old z1000sx when it was new and was impressed rode nice power delivery was ok really good brakes aswell just felt right straight away he only kept it around a year and bought a brand new zzr1400 now thats a different thing alltogether it only had 30 miles on when i rode it but let me tell you that really is a fantastic bike to ride you dont notice its size at all very very impressed with the zzr
I'm tryin a Z1000sx , Z800 , Street T, and Speed T th morn at my local dealers, so be interest ya see fit I end up wi, I'd say it will be one of them. It's gonna hey to be some bike ta live up ta the D675r though. I doubt I will find anything as fun as my Daytona but hey ho I'm getting auld , nowt I can do aboot that. Holy moly a zzr1400 too much a beast fa me ha ha. I'd need to change my pants daily on that rocket.
