I'm quite looking forward to wsbk this year, it's been in the doldrums for far too long! I'm hoping with some new talent/bikes and a bit of rider/team shuffle it should liven it all up nicely.
I hope wsbk will one day get back to how it was late 90s early 00s.
    Roll on next weekend.

Donny in July could be quite busy (if the titles not over by then).
Absolutely in agreement it should be the pinnacle of superbike racing and it hasnt felt that way for a while.
I miss when kawasaki were shit and the likes of lavilla and E bostrom were running around on one mid pack.:(

  6. Ducati have 16500rpm to use! That’s mega, I know the road bike is super high revving but I imagine they will have that reduced at the first chance (as per Kawasaki last year)

I don't think Johnny is going to have it all his own way this season ( I hope)
I have huge respect for what jr has achieved but really looking forward to seeing how he deals with some pressure from others on equal if not better machinery.
If Sykes could ruffle a few Kawasaki feathers that would make my day!

  9. I would really like to see it come together for Yamaha and Alex and Micky this year! I think they have been plugging away at it for a while now! I think the Ducati will potentially look better than it is right at the moment because PI is such a unique track, once they get to twistier tracks or tracks where rhythm isn’t as possible then I think JR will dominate.

Also, let’s not write Haslam off yet!

  16. I see Jonny rea is having a moan about the Ducati... I get his point that 35k for a production bike isn’t exactly great for the championship, but Kawasaki have been bringing out new models with different cylinder gear just for WSBK revs at the expense of developing other features like a more modern dash, more mid range power etc

Yeah I thought the sprint race format was good. Much better than that silly reverse grid. Three genuinely good races.

Looks like Rea will get a bit more trouble from his team mate this year!

My heart bleeds  "someones got a faster bike than me"!!

Like you said earlier in the thread be interesting to see how it fares on the twistier tracks. Didnt look like Chaz was having a great time of it either (to put it mildly)

  19. Nope, but chaz tweeting a violin to Jonny rea was funny, as Jonny has an obvious comeback in the fact Bautista was nearly 30s faster in the races!!!!!

So a grand total of 13 riders finished race 2 yesterday :jaded: they really need to wake the F up before the series dies on its arse dont they..not to mention the embarassing offerings from honda and bmw too.
Hats off to bautista though, 6 out of 6 :salute:
Also why is there no brit riders in world supersport this year? :erm:
