My bike is a 2013. My engine management light came on. I limp rode my bike home and now I'm trying to figure out the issue. I have an ELM 327 Interface.

It fits the computer socket fine. I saw on another thread about ECUTEK/ECU Connect??? It does not appear to work with the ELM 327. I've tried a couple of apps that do work with this interface but they appear to be car oriented. Other motorcycle apps that I found are not Triumph friendly. Any advice??

I use tuneECU and a Bluetooth OBD adaptor that connects to my phone (android only) with my 2013 daytona.

  3. As @Jack94x says Tuneecu is the best option for diagnostic and servicing functions if you have a suitable Android device.
    Android En (tuneecu.net)
It will not connect with every BT adaptor though, these are the recommended devices that are guaranteed to work and give you the full functionality including remapping, although there are certain cheaper options that will work for diagnostic and servicing only.
To be able to remap the latest Triumph models

OBDLink LX (firmware 4.3.2 or up)

    OBDLink MX

    OBDLink MX+

UniCarScan UCSI-2100 (firmware 2.49 or up)

Vgate vLinker MC+ (firmware 4.3.2 or up)

If you don't have Android but have a Windows laptop then DealerTool is another option.

If you have neither Android or Windows then I think some people have been able to read/reset codes with certain stand alone code reader but can't recall the specific products.

Personally I bought (or borrowed) 2 or 3 adaptors that didn't work looking for a cheaper option before buying the OBDLink LX anyway, which is probably what I should have done in the first p[lace.

Thanks folks! TuneECU app works with the ELM327. The error code is: P1698. Now to work the problem out

    Thanks again :)

  5. 5v sensor supply malfunction
Have you had the battery disconnected?
now reading the 1st post sounds like it came on with the bike running, in that case I would check the battery and connections, also the charging voltage.
This is from the manual but I would check the simple things first around the 12v supply, as I don't think there's a code for low 12v it can show up as P1698 when it affects the 5v sensor supply, which is monitored.
Thats assuming you haven't been working on the sensors or wiring prior to the fault.

The charging is ok. The fault came out of the blue. The bike was working fine...I pulled over for a moment for something unrelated. Tried to start up again to continue my journey and the bike wouldn't start! Engine Management light was on. It started up again eventually and I limped her home (didn't miss a beat). It can still start now o_O
