Hey guys just interested in what air filters people use in there race bikes and why you went for that certain make? Regards Ben
Apparently the money no object, best performance approach that was taken by many of the race teams was OEM replaceable, replaced frequently.! MWR seems to have been the most popular choice, I run a BMC myself.
I've used MWR on previous bikes but currently have a BMC. Both are good at what they do / claim but they must be setup on the dyno for best / safest results.
+1 on the MWR (but mines hardly a race bike!) - you can take the filter element out (sponge) and clean&re-oil, so should save a bit of cash in the long run too. The MWR is meant to reduce air intake noise for passing those Trackday noise tests and add a pony or two as well.
