Well another update: I disconnected the damper from the mount and it's perfect, side to side with no issues. Got the right caliper off and found a stuck pad and piston so managed to get that sorted and the wheel spins a bit more free now. Took it out for a quick 2min run again and it feels like a bike! Can't wait for some warm days now so I can relearn how to ride it...
Welcome to my world Mitch, I normally ride the Tiger in the winter and the D675 feels like a minimoto after that.
The bike felt like someone stuck two s1000rr engines on a high chair! I was like "is it meant to be this high up??!" I've forgotten how much you can see and how far forward you're hunched over compared to sitting in a low car with big pillars in the way. Crazy.
Nail on the head Mitch.....just been out over the goyt valley and my god I don't remember it being so fast and loud....rolling on from 1st in to 2nd pin it and going through the gears bang bang as the quickshifter is working up the gearbox loved it big smile on my face. Only thing after doing my detail clean yesterday and putting the bike back together thismorning the thing is now dirty again all that work yesterday and needs doing again : (
Yeah the roads are still a mess, my shock is going to turn brown again so not looking forward to cleaning that again!
Looking good mate!! If you ever sell the nose cone please let me know! As mine is cracked and I can't ever get hold of one!
The nose isn't 100%, it's got one small chip (how I bought it) but if you can find a replacement in black or red we can do a swap??
Cheers guys, all that's left is the fairings. It's far too cold to be out sanding and priming so I'm going to leave it until its at least 5/6 degrees!
Bloody hell Mitch, are you worrying about that tiny little chip? First bit of kitty litter that falls out of some twats belly pan will do that!
No no, midgey was asking if I'd sell it, to which I replied that I would but I'd want a black/red in exchange, but I just wanted to point out that it wasn't showroom condition. The chips are small but like to be honest!
