So not to confuse the matter I’m starting a new thread rather than reviving old ones. So, after nine yes of idle issues I think I may be making head way. So the bike initially went in for 15K valve check and mapping post fitting a stage 3 arrow in 2015. Since I have had low idle issues with bike cutting out at lights and difficult to pull away or revving the balls of it. Initially T3 upped the idle which stopped it stalling but was awful to ride round town etc…. Eventually tried removing map and putting Triumph specific map on, no joy. Then went to an independent garage with and old Triumph tech (with good reputation). No issues found and ran a little better once I got it back. Since I have been riding around the issue whilst researching. A lot of people suggest using a manual idle adjuster (which I have) but I don’t want to use it as I want my bike working as it should. So eventually found a post which states you should forget about the .5mm gap between rocker and stepper and make sure your figures fall within tolerance but give a difference of .15v (does this sound correct?) If so my figures have gone from: .601 and 0.718 (difference of .117) To 0.591 and 0.738 (difference of .147) There is no .5mm gap but there wasn’t to start with. So my question finally is, does this all sound correct? If so do I simply need to reset adaptions and run the bike for 12mins not touching the throttle? Cheers for reading this long ass thread but help is very much appreciated and if this does the job, that’s nine years of being pissed of now overcome.
