I'm now the proud owner of a TORS silencer. When I go to a Triumph dealer to get the TORS map - should I keep a standard air filter or go for a hight flow (e.g. K&N) or standard? My headers are stock inc CAT Thanks Mike
Either one will work well...but if you're planning on getting an aftermarket filter anyway then yes, you should get it before the re-map rather than after.
@Mick102 If it were me I'd use the standard air filter and have the standard TOR map uploaded. In my experience, the stock triumph stuff works well.
Congratulations on finding the new silencer. FYI you can re-map your bike yourself with TuneEcu fairly easily, and save yourself a few quid as well as familiarising yourself with that very useful diagnostic software. As for the air filter, apparently its a common misconception that after-market filters are a substantive performance enhancer. A number of the race teams that ran the D675 actually used stock filters, and changed them very frequently to ensure optimum airflow. I actually run an aftermarket one myself, but because I can clean & re-use it for the life of the bike thereby saving myself around £25 each service interval. You can perhaps tell that I've been living up here in Yorkshire for quite a while now...?
Good advice. Isn't tune ecu pc only?... i'm all mac. I'm all up for saving money on air filters and the like... i've heard that there's very little difference between free flow and standard too.
Damn, thought this was finally the day we got to shred that gasping ginger twat and the rest of the torys on here.
Lol - TORS/Torys - was just being flippat and prob should have put "gasping ginger twat and *his torys". I know theres plenty of decent folk on here
