So this is how I will have my bike for the summer





This is how I bolted the mounting plate to the subframe - rock solid! (bracket required at the rear as couldn't reach the 2 fairing screws)

I think it flows well with the lines of the bike. NOT!

 

That's one thing I miss on my Sprint as I could bolt the rack on when needed and the spare seat with cowl when not. It's either that or buy a tiger as a second bike.

I've got a friend who has done the same on his GSXR1000. Uses it all year round to commute on, apparently it gets a bit twitchy in the ice
