Her dad is a triumph rider too 2000 plate sprint he mentioned Friday about packing riding in and asked if I'd like his bike!!!! To fecking right !! The one night stand finally paid off haha ( love her really)
After my previously rather dark contributions to this "anonymous" thread haha, I'll play it straight this time. I met my other half in '92 when her Father was the Commodore of the yacht club I belonged to, unfortunately my best mate, sailing buddy and co-boat owner got there first and invited her round to his along with myself for the Aussie F1 GP , he fell asleep and I "took the racing line". Fortunately he was ok about it in the end and was our best man after 6yrs of sinful living. Oh and did I mention she was 18 and I was 31 when we met?
Met in 91 at work, married '92, couple of kids, divorced '94. Too young and too much hassle from her family. Stayed friendly due to kids, back together '00, remarried '12, still together now. Her family completely out of the picture since '98
I've been trying to work out a way to post into this thread..... Finally I believe I may have figured it out.: I first saw the love of my life in a scrapyard.! Even as I initially laid my eyes on her, I knew in my heart that she was the one for me & that I would always love her. Ironically it was another forum member, 675Hazza, who first pointed me in her direction. She may not be the youngest, and some may even suggest she is a little haggard these days, but she is (and always will be) my true love. I can even pretty much cope with the pain in the neck she gives me.
They are called "the outlaws" for a good reason, some worse/better than others, but come with the main attraction, yet aren't optional... Met my missus in 2002, done 4 houses, 3 countries and 2 kids together and she still lets me keep the bike! Certainly plenty of rough with the smooth while sharing her "magical mystery ride" but beats the alternative, even if my granddad words of "never get married son" may seem like very wise advice occasionally and I wish it was just me and the bike this weekend...
Met her at school aged 11 in 1995. Started seeing each other in 2001 when I joined the Army and have been together since, bar a 6 month break. Going strong now, might marry her at some point. If she's lucky. Her family love me. Who can blame them. Toby b
Prepare to be disappointed Hazza. Even if I didnt remember the story I recognise his distinctive writing. Linky I am fairly certain anyway. Besides true love is a two way street. so knowing him as we do he could only be talking about an inanimate object.
We met in a local pub in 1999 and bought a house together in 2001. Got married in 2004 had baby number 1 in 2005 (3 months premature) and then baby number 2 in 2007. Looking forward our 10 year wedding anniversary in April. We also have worked together 24/7 for the last 7 odd years, so I guess we must like each other.
Yeah, but the advantage is I don't have to go through life as 'Toby'....what a hellish existence that must be.
Hmm - ok - first time we met at work I tried to be helpful and she treated me as if I was the janitor (alarm bells shoulda been ringing right then!). About a month later, we were each separately talking to a guy who had organised the previous year's paintball event about organising the next one and he said "You guys should get married, you're both so alike". About a year later we ended up together on a work night out, having not spoken since the original "incident". She was living with someone else and on splitting from him, she said she was looking for a place to live. I offered my spare room (yeah, right!) and she moved in. Not sure if I ever did get around to putting a bed in that spare room! Three weeks later I proposed. That was 18 years ago.
Asked her when she was going to leave her boyfriend to be with me. A few months later she moved away. I year after that she was standing on my doorstep without a boyfriend. That was 12 years, 2 houses, 2 kids, a wedding, a lot of cars, and a couple bikes ago.
Met her on a night out, had mutual friends anyway but didn't know each other at all. Said hello during the night, said something like 'your well slim!' As she was wearing a crop top She then added me on Facebook and nearly 2yrs later she is still putting up with me and the bike She always said she would never be with a biker as it's dangerous.. Now she gets on the back of mine and eggs me on
