I sent my daytona through the gravel at Donington (Redgate) 2 years ago and bought some cool upper and lower fairings from a member here, but the tank and tail look a bit rough up close. I definitely want to address the tank as the rash looks bad. The tail is OK, but shows off a really poor effort of a rattle can paint job from me. It's not quite as bad as it looks here (right side of tank is actually reflective), but needs something. Vinyl wrap seems like something I would not excel at, though a white and dark blue tank would work well. Needless to say I'm not going to spend much on it since I'll naturally be sending it tumbling through the gravel immediately following. Maybe a white tail and a dark blue tank? Do nothing and just ride it? Sell it and get an R1?
White painting the tail pod would be easy enough with rattle cans, would tie it in nicely with the Smiths fairing too. Tank, structurally sound & straight.? May be worth popping it off & taking it (no filler cap or pump) to a local motor bodyshop. They may blow it over for you on the back of an appropriate car repair / respray ?
The tank has got a corner dent which the carbon tank caps cover up nicely. Maybe I'll look into getting the tank and tail sprayed white and then figure out some navy blue sticker situation on the top of the tank
