I'm looking to improve the front end on my bike as I'm really only riding the track at minute and the front isn't feeling as good as it did. I'm on an early model, grey engine, with the stick front fork which had been setup for my weight. I was going to send my forks to Colin at 100% for ktech internals and a service but there appears to be anothere option which appeared. Forks from a 2010 bike with Maxton gp30 internals. The questions are thus; is there a difference between the 2007 Forks and the 2010 Forks before adding after market parts and is it worth making the stretch for the Maxton equipped fork over fettling mine? Cost wise they are about the same over all, as long as the 2010 don't need a service, but would sell my current fork to effectively make the Maxton 2010 Forks cheaper.
Too late. Spoke the chap selling the Maxton gp30 equipped forks and i had them. In regards to service and rider weight l for the spring it turned out, after a shot on the scales, the rider they were built for is the same weight as me. Service wise they haven't been ridden as the bike was built then sold as sponsors pulled out. Should be here next week and then it's fitting time ready for Oulton at the end of the month if lucky
