Hi All, Not a 675 but still a Triumph so hopefully someone can help! I have an 08 speed triple that had been sat since september. Charged the battery and noticed that there was condensation in the dash. Removed the dash to dry it out and it was fairly corroded (not getting all lights on it now). When turning the key, the dash lights up but the fuel pump doesnt prime. I've checked the relays and neither the engine management or fuel pump relays click. I have a 675 as well and someone suggested trying the dash from that on the speed triple, I get all the correct lights now but the engine management light flashes and still no relays operating. Does anyone have any ideas? Local dealer refused to give advice over the phone! Thanks, Rob.
start simple, is the cut off switch on? we've all done it or, was it on previously switched on while parked up, and may have corroded as well and still thinks it is on? if condensation has been an issue, then is the main fuse corroded and preventing connection? Its the non priming of pump that i think indicates that? If it was sticky clutch, stand or neutral switch, then i think you would get the pump prime at least.
Haha I have made this mistake before so it was the first thing I checked! It wasnt switched on while parking but i can't rule it out that it might think its on. I get a nuetral light with the daytona dash on but not the original, its obviously fubar. The daytona dash the engine management light is flashing and with the original dash it doesnt light up at all. I have checked all fuses, none blown and all contacts are clean. Same goes for the relays!
I had a corrosion problem with my dash. I opened it up ordered new lights and buttons on ebay and took it to some computer geek to re solder them in then worked fine. Sent from my SM-G780G using 675.cc mobile app
I think this may well be part of the issue! Not sure why it wouldn't work with the daytona clocks on though, I was told it shouldn't need programming but I'm not convinced
Regular white vinegar is quite good at removing rust. Toss the board in that for a day and see if it works. Beyond that a faulty crank sensor is a common issue on Daytona/ST3's.
