Hi all I have an opportunity to buy a second hand rear cowl for my d675r 2015.... I have downloaded the Triumph destructions, but wanted to ask as it is second hand, do I just buy some more bolts and protective strips? This is what a new one comes with - 1 seat cowl base 1 infill pad 1 upper panel 4 shouldered screws M5x1mm 2 protective strips short 2 protective strips long Cheers in advance, I am a complete noob and am the worst at anything mechanical or diy!
Looks like everything is there to my eyes. Can’t see anything missing from it at all. Just watch the metal locking pin is bad for the cut out in them not being long enough to fully catch the locking bar on the bike. They have a tendency to pop off! My one is second hand and the previous owner got a grinder and made it a little longer. Clips securely into place now.
You won't get the protective strips, but I doubt you need them. You could use a tiny bit of this if you wanted https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/2721823215...=9045835&device=c&campaignid=974199509&crdt=0 (others available) As above, once it's built ( and that one looks to be) there's nothing to do.
Yeah, that's a brilliant price for looks like a good as new cowl and I'm only minorly bitter and envious I bet that the black one would still look better though
I am indeed. Triumph have the black cowl on sale at the moment with 50% off, so I'm having a bit of a dilemma over which colour to go for. Cheap is my favourite colour!
@CountCatula - does he have a magic wardrobe full of them or something??? If you could ask for me, that'd be great x x x. Otherwise, I'll be getting the new black one when payday (eventually) rolls around.
@CountCatula I am also looking for a cowl, I have a 2013 bike that could do with the seat being replaced! Obviously only if Janey isn't interested. TIA
