Unsure if posted this on here.

    But obtained a 2010 Gen 1 s1000rr with 6k Miles for a good price.

Already been around track on it, made some needed changes.

Next is the throttle and possible pc5 or ecu flash/tune.

Needing a service manual first XD F8211C84-B546-4DA4-B8D3-5FF2555E8D0A.jpg

Thats a beauty and very low mileage.
Are there many bargains of the older gen s1000rr now that the new one is released?

How does it compare to the 675?

They’ve always looked like absolute weapons haven’t they and for a ten year old bike it’s definitely stood the test of time looks wise.
Do they do an underslung pipe option like the early pani’s?

Great bike in my opinion. Good choice. Enjoying modding it although it doesn't need that much doing to it

  5. My mates just ditched his Street Triple RS for one, by all accounts he is pretty happy with it. Great bikes, looking forward to trying his one out

This compared to the 675 is shocking in both good and bad.

675 you know when your on the edge and pushing too much, no abs or DTC.

S1000rr slick mode, just sticks, I have 5mm left on forks before bottoming out, not fast riding. Brakes are ok but occasional fade.
Shifts upto triple figures very easy no matter what gear, fun but deadly XD.

675 has the edginess due to running a 180/60, it just carries on leaning. Torque feels more available at lower revs and mid range also, could be the gearing and mods I’ve done to it.

Swapping from the s1000rr and the 675 is a shock.

    S1k low seat and nimble
675 high seat and tips in INSANELY quick causing shock to the system as if it wants to kill you XD

Cheers for the details great go hear someone whos experienced both.

Was actually out for a blast with a friend who has 2015 s1000rr and its a cracking bike, much bigger than 675 and the quick ahift & auto blipper sounds fantastic but tge 675 kept up no problem, also stayed alongside a 1290 super duke r and a zxr1200.
Would love an s1000rr though alongside the 675.

Yeah it’s hard enough choosing between riding the track bike aka 675 or road bike s1k to work.

Working Donington Park Security it’s evil hearing all the bikes come past XD
