Dont get this, i just passed a rozza on his bike stood by it looking at the engine so i slowed and gave him the thumbs up only to get a glare like he was gonna jump on his bike and nic me, i was doing what any biker would and asking him if he was ok,just shows ya what the rozzas think of us bikers, i know they not all the same but would have been nice for him to be polite and say thanks.

  2. Exact same thing happened to me last week mate I swear they have got it in for anybody that rides a sports bike at least all the bike pigs in London seem to getting really fed up with it to be honest if I get stopped again before the end of the month I want a full explanation as to why they have stopped me for as it's bordering on harrassment now. I have mates that work in the MET and they all tell me that their traffic division are arseholes...

I usually find them the opposite.
Got pulled on Saturday by the cops while driving home from London and the guy was super nice (he thought I was drunk from the fact I pulled right infront of him and then the car was stuttering slightly as I pulled away - had to explain I pretty much never drive and always ride to which he told me he had an ER6 - I told him it was crap lol).
Also when I got done for my small number plate - they were ALL super nice and friendly and I was taking the piss.
I reckon you just caught him in a bad mood cause his bike broke just as he was on his way to the doughnut shop :)

Always pass this copper on his way to work (i assume) in the mornings. Same stretch of road, same time, every day.

First time i saw him i gave him the old bikers nod....

    Nothing.

    Second morning...

    Nothing.

    And so it continued.

Now i just do it every single morning knowing full well he wont nod back just to irritate him.

    Prick.

  6. Maybe craig we should have a section were the weekly rants about police can go.

Why do you care if they acknowledge you ? Why do you care enough to post about it ?

I pulled into ace cafe last week nobody said hello to me even when i said 'alright' i dont really give a shit

  8. It makes sense... Think back to your school days, and everyone from your school that ended up a copper. What percentage of those were either complete nobs at school, or the victims of bullying seeking some authority? In my experience 80%+

If I say hello to someone and they blank me, I tend to think they’re a bit of a cunt but as it’s plod in this instance, you’re right, I should just accept it as par for the course.

Just adding my 2ps worth I suppose.

It's rude....I think of it like if I were passing someone while out walking and were to say hello and not get an answer....and believe me, THAT happens a lot with the 'you-don't-exist-in-my-world' arrogance of the LA/OC crowd.

I always wave though, and most of the bike cops always wave back....the exception is when I'm on the freeway because they're always flying through traffic at 90mph. At the end of the day though, motorcycle cops only do two things....accidents, and traffic tickets.....so if you're passing one the chances are you haven't crashed yet.

I was sitting at the lights next to a pair of young cops in a patrol unit the other week....the driver put his window down and said...."That bike is f&#@ing sick!!....go on, rev it!!?".....so I did, and cracked up as he was like "FUUUUCK NOOOOOO!!"

.....Then the light changed to green and I fecked off into the sunset!!

  11. You see that is what I'm talking about! We need more Police like that over here people who actually appreciate the fine machines we ride and not snotty nosed jumped up little (or fat in most cases) jobs worths! I was watching the Emergency bikers the other night and two bike cops from Essex stopped this bloke and they were both big fat fcukers and couldn't run after him so took to their bike to catch him instead. I thought our Police Force was meant to have fitness tests? From what I can see they are a big bunch of fat bastids who do little to no exercise...

They do have a yearly physical, but it's not very demanding.

Bike cops over here know the score...they know how dangerous it is out there for riders, and usually they'll cut you a little slack....example I was taking a long freeway on-ramp a while back....just hauling ass onto the freeway at @110-120.....got on and backed off to around 85 only to see a bike cop in my blind spot...so I immediately backed off the throttle more.....he came up beside me and gave me a thumbs-up, then went on his way! :D

  13. I love that term "hauling ass" it should be used more over here! Have to say dude that shows the difference in the levels of respect you get out there as opposed to over here had that have been the fat bastard that trailed me the other night he would have had your license for that because that's just how anal they are over here. I know that speeding is breaking the law and I'm fully prepared to take the consequences of that but when I was first pulled by the traffic bacon for a "routine traffic stop" I was no where near the speed limit i was actually 15mph under it so what cause did they have for stopping me other than to look over the bike and why exactly it showed on their system that it was taxed, insured etc.. I am getting so fed up of the traffic plod over here especially with the sneaky bastards hiding cameras in wheelie bins now just dirty and underhand. I couldn't really give a shit that they have a difficult job to do sometimes because equally Fireman have to do more at RTC scenes than the Police do and you don't see them walking around with a bug up their butt.

    Dunno...never heard that one??

It's more like two kids talking..

1st kid - "My Dad's car is faster than your Dad's!!"
    2nd kid - "No Way!...My Dad's car will blow the door's off your Dad's!!"
    1st kid - "Way!!"

  18. I did hear from somewhere that you were a fan of "Storming the Embassy" is that true dude? hehe :D
