Started to get the feel for the new bike and got a much better start to the weekend at thruxton with 20th overall and 15th in class in first practice which was dry, soon after the rain started to fall quite heavily and out into wet qualifying I went seeing a best of 7th place overall early on in the session and ended up 16th on the grid which gave me some more confidence for the race later as I was having troubles with the bike which seemed to stem from the front springs being too hard so I got one changed to a lighter spring, feeling ready for a wet race which I really enjoy the rain kept coming and eventually they cancelled the race and the rest of the day. So now had to wait till 1710 till I was out again, I forgot my earplugs which oddly made me very nervous and this meant I had a poor start and wheelied off the line but settled down after a few laps and had some good battles out there 2 laps from the end I was knackered and mentally dropped off for a second and I think four people come past and I was like "f**k this what the hell are you doing!! " went for it and got back 3 of them ending 20th overall and 15th in class to Get my first national championship point wahoo looking forward to the next round lap time was about the same as I did after a year on my r6 so couldn't be happier with my progress so far now aim for some consitent point scoring
