I like the Matt black but when buying mine I couldn't find a 2nd hand one.

Only thing I don't like is the silver belly pan I would have to change that with Matt carbon I think

Put 250 miles on it at the weekend, wow, the quickshifter is even better than I remembered when I test rode on last year. So slick.

Put 100 miles on mine Saturday love it road conditions bit dodgy in places but felt spot on, 2 mates on s1000rr hated it as they couldn't put the power down without traction cutting in

Welcome back in. Looks lovely your Tona. Personally love the Matte look but for me it would be impossible to maintain, glad you will be looking after her, she is a lovely looking thing

R&G fitted and a picture of the Snake Skin Tech Specs (which I highly rate).

First service done. Love this bike.

It does feel like it's running rich with the Arrow map, though. Loads of pops, gargles and spits on overrun.

4 days at Andalucia went well, lovely weather. Enjoyable track although it took a day to get used to the unusual (at first) flow of the corners.

Went for a test ride on a 1299s, enjoyed it. The autoblip is fantastic. Ride one if you get the chance.

Returned to the Ducati/Kawasaki dealer today to try out the new ZX10R (with launch control). Mental, mental bike.

Had the 675 on the dyno to check fuelling. No issues worth throwing money at as its running well.

What did you think of it? I am going to sort a demo ride in the next few weeks. Does it have an auto blipper?

Auto blipper - no. But IIRC it can be added as an aftermarket extra

It's certainly not lacking power. Suspension felt good, brakes had plenty of stopping power and feel. Gearbox felt pants on downshifts. Cruising was pleasant, fuelling felt good. I could feel the extra bulk over the 675 and it's obviously not as nimble.

    I liked it.

Oh, and it has launch control. So that obviously makes your dick bigger

Weirdly, I couldn't feel the extra bulk and it felt just like the 675 only faster, to me. Could have been rose tinted visor though.

I could definitely feel the extra weight and the bike felt much bigger between the knees.

Definitely felt wider, I read bulk as weight, which I didn't feel when going.

How did the gearbox feel pants to you? (I didn't notice this either.....but again, I was a bit smitten)

Did the exhaust sound nice ? Doesn't it have titanium headers etc

Dropping down the gears there would be the occasional knock/crunch (nothing ominous, just not 'smooth'). It wouldn't have been enough for me not to have bought one if I wanted one, I'm just pointing out some imperfections.

The exhaust was reaaaaallly quiet. I'd have an Austin racing on it as the Akra was providing too much noise cancellation with it being full length and fat.
